Lovely park around a kidney shaped lake /pond. Nice views. Some sculptures. Flowers. Lovely to visit on a warm late spring day. People lay out when it’s warm.

Really beautiful park! Copenhagen is pretty grey and, at least directly around this park, didn’t have a lot of trees or anything, so this was a nice contrast to the streets directly outside. My toddler loved running around and looking at the bridges and ducks.

This is hands-down one of my favorite central parks. The location is smack dab in the center of the city. The fall colors and reflections in the lake, which is protected from the wind, are absolutely stunning. In spring the tulip gardens which are swapped out regularly just above the old wrought iron bridge are also incredibly beautiful. The same flower beds are swapped out regularly throughout the winter and the remainder of the year ensuring they are always in bloom and full of color.

Despite whatever you have heard about this park(and believe me you heard something ranging from ridiculous to nasty stuff), it’s really an oasis in the middle of the city. There’s a reason why I love Copenhagen(although I must admit that I unfortunately don’t go so much to parks), it is the fact that this city has so many great parks inside the city centrum. Take Nørreport st for example, the most busiest station ever in Copenhagen and it’s still walking distance to three great parks(Kongens Have, Botanical Garden and Ørstedsparken). Ørstedsparken is relatively small, but it has beautiful layout(big pond and bridge over it) that makes you just want to spread some blanket and have some picnic there. There’s døgnnetto nearby so it’s easy to get some eating supplies before going to the park. The size isn’t that big either so it’s easy to get in and get out again. Need a break between your busy day in Copenhagen? Take a chill pill here between the swans and the trees

We wandered on this ny chance, walking down o HC Andersen blvd. As we were crossing the street we noticed the small entrace that immediately opened up into a large green with a lake. with the central bridge it almost looks like two lakes. Plenty of sun worshippers out on this day as it was 65 degrees F. Lots of cool statues hidden here and there with nature in full bloom and birds calling out on every corner. Certainly a great place to relax of you want a slow pace or just have nothing better to do than lounge.
