Gamle Humlebæk Kro

This place is south of where is shown on Unilocal by 1 or 2 km. Great atmosphere and good food. Fish was cooked just right. We had a great waiter from Cuba, he was able to tell us a lot about the history of the restaurant. Make a reservation on the weekend!

The food was very good, traditional Danish fare, with delicious coffee and excellent service.

Recent outing with kids was quite OK. Technically rather a 3,5 star experience. Some of the food was quite good, other average. The setting is nice. Was hoping for better variety on tapped beer, since it is a «kro» — but all in all would try again.

Awesome lunch here! Don’t miss out on this place. I had danish flaeskesteg, such a classic dish but they made it to perfection.
The interior is really appealing and the staff is really sweet and informative. I won’t miss the opportunity to bring a visitor here from abroad next time I have one on visit to introduce them to a fine danish food experience!

Situated at a really pretty location, Gamle Humlebæk Kro is an evident choice for a classic Danish lunch on a Sunday afternoon after enjoying the sumptuous views & landscapes of Northern Seeland. So I made that choice which I shall never regret.
The inn is decorated in the traditional Danish way with paintings of the burly and authentic Danish fishermen of ye olde salty sea. The waiters were also properly dressed up, oppan inn-​keeper style, so as to not break the illusion of a royally privileged inn.
We were greeted at the door and immediately seated. The inn is separated into smaller departments which makes the noise level pleasant and the atmosphere cozy and homely.
The food is excellent traditional Danish cuisine and the pricings are reasonable. The staff is kind and caring, and the dishes are served with minimal waiting time. I have absolutely nothing on Gamle Humlebæk Kro and I would not hesitate to pay this northern gem a second visit!
