Vandkunsten Sandwich og Salatbar

So happy to see these guys expanding and opening new shops. A fantastic array of sandwiches to suit any taste and hunger-​level. Personal favourites are the Kylling Club (Chicken Club) with a delicious curry dressing (a condiment that is yet to take off in Australia but am hoping will soon!) and St. Michel Skinke — kind of like a folded over and toasted pizza on homemade flat bread. Yet to try the salads but excited to do so on our next trip back to Denmark!

Let me start by saying that the sandwich shop and salad shop are actually two different shops:
Salad shop:
I come here a couple of times a week for a salad. A large box is around 50 DKK, and you get to mix and match 5 different choices of salad from a decent selection — and get the choice of humous, tarziki, jalapenos etc. free of charge. I tend to eat vegan food, and this is one of the best places I’ve found nearby for a quick lunch. It’s not mindblowing, but it’s decent and healthy and very convenient — and not least one of the cheaper options.
Sandwich shop:
I used to come here a lot in my meat-​eating days. It’s a really popular place so be prepared to wait in line during rush hours. The sandwiches are great, at the staff is really friendly and extremely efficient so you seldom wait for more than 5 – 10 min. Go for the alfredo sandwich, in my opinion the best option.

Good, large sandwiches. Try the tuna fish, it was great. I didn’t have the turkey or bacon ones, and they looked promising. The proprietor of this place was a super duper nice guy.

Hui, hier haben wir Sandwiches gekauft, die so groß waren wie ein Fußball und so günstig wie Deutsche Sandwiches in Miniaturgröße.
Ich hatte eins mit Schwarzbrot und Thunfischcreme. Und dann lag da noch Salat und Gemüse und anderer Kram oben drauf.
Das Teil war IMMENS und echt schwer und obendrein sehr lecker.
Irgendwie hatten wir Glück — unser Kopenhagenbesuch war ohne großes Suchen relativ günstig und brachte uns immer wieder an Orte mit leckerem Essen.
