I love places like this. Small, family run frequented by locals who appreciate good conversation as much as they do comfort food. If you are a fan of super causal eateries with absolutely not an ounce of pretentiousness. Then you too will fall in love. We walked in for a late lunch and were greeted at the door like we were long lost family. Cold beers were brought to our tables along with fresh baked bread. The menu is simple and includes local traditional Danish comfort food. I wasn’t super hungry and settled for a cheese plate that included an incredible brie and one Hell of a kick ass blue. There is nothing like eating cheese in Europe. My friend ordered a breaded cod. I don’t eat seafood, but he remarked that he loved it and devoured it within just a few minutes. His dish came with a side of shrimp and caviar, both of which he said he liked. The restaurant has a feel like an English pub, something you would find in the countryside. It was filled with locals, most of whom were sitting at the bar sipping on drinks and chatting for hours with the friendly staff.
