You can go here if you want to wait an hour for 4 meals. Better places in the area. Only 2 people were working the entire restaurant. Food is mediocre. GOSOMEWHEREELSE.

We were so, so thirsty when we were out for a long day touring around Copenhagen and so found ourselves at the Irish Rover out of necessity more than choice. We sat outside in the non-smoking area(of which there are only 4 tables) and I must admit I was quite annoyed when someone sat at one of those tables and started to smoke. The waitress did come over and tell her that it was non-smoking, but then didn’t make her put the cigarette out, and just said it was fine as long as no one else was disturbed. As we were the only other diners in the area, clearly she meant us — but then never came and asked if we had a problem with the smoke(I did, actually — the smoking area was huge, and I hate cigarette smoke). We each had a very small Coke filled mostly with ice for 35DKK, which we drank quickly before beating a hasty retreat into less smoky air.

Very good Irish themed bar right in the centre of Copenhagen. Show all the English football and serve a good menu. Wide selection of drinks.

I stopped by drinks and lunch while out sightseeing in Copenhagen. I had an apple cider and the fish and chips with peas. My husband had a cheeseburger and a Carlsberg. The food and drinks were great. Our server was polite and attentive. The restaurant has several tv’s showing all sorts of sports. This restaurant also has free wifi so that is a bonus.

This place has a nice vibe. I was surprised they were watching American football. A good place to go with friends to mingle. But if you’re going to this place you better eat before that. We waited an hr for lamb pot roast and fish and chips; which I wouldn’t mind if the food was the best thing I ever had which in this case it wasn’t. The lamb was dry, the fish to greasy. It was more butter in the fish than the fish itself. Plus $ 20 per plate not worth it.

Just went is for a quick beer in the weekend close to St. Patrick’s day. Apart from couple of banners, nothing special for the day. It’s a pub look-alike with many hints of american chain-dinners. I wouldn’t say that is so Irish. It’s menu also lacks of Irish items(there are few English stuff names Irish though). And of course the beer… can’t only have Guinness and Kilkenny!!! The most weird thing for me there was a really funny smell. Irritating at fist. It was like rotten wood, or overused frying oil… or urinal! I couldn’t say. After 10 minutes is was gone or I got used to it. Anyway, the service was quite good for me: friendly and smiling. Overall, is the definition of touristic restaurant/pub. Is ok to go and try!

Stopped in for a quick pint while walking through downtown Copenhagen, but I ended up staying for a couple hours talking to an American couple, a Norwegian naval officer, and the bar tender from Dublin. Had a great time I just wish that I could have stayed later for the music, but I had to press on.

Not great. men of the staff are not friendly, the place, just like the dubliner that sucks too, has no soul. try Charlies, the Sharmrock or Sankt Nikolai. it’s much better and you’ll feel ike you’re in a pub and not lke you’re in a money factory where nobody cares about seing you again or having made you spend a great night.

Bonne ambiance et excellente musique dans ce bar irlandais typique, ou vous serez servis à table. Rien d’exceptionnel cependant. Décor très agréable.

after walking for several hours in the rain trying to find a central restaurant or pub that wasn’t too noisy or overcrowded, we by chance came across the irish rover which had a free table in the front window, one with elbow-room even! we had some drinks, stew, and a burger, and our waitress was very friendly and attentive. the soundtrack was great, too – plenty of irish rock and pop!

You know how sometimes you just want a quiet drink, maybe you want to catch up with some of your friends news and just sit back and relax? This is most definitely not a place for that kind of an evening! You might not even find a seat lad! The Dubliner is a loud and raucous pub, usually with some live music going on. Stuff you can have a good sing along to. It’s generally busybut I’ve never seen it so unpleasantly packed that I couldn’t cope with it. I generally prefer a place where I can hear myself thinkbut for a certain kind of an eveningthis place does hit the right notes, which is why I rate it highly. Drinkswise they have the usual Irish pub options(that I hear taste twice as good in Ireland) and I think they do food tooalthough I would recommend getting your eating done earlier on in the nights proceedingssome black pepper tends to go better with your meal than blaring music and people dancing. On my last visit they also had a particular waitress who was cute as a button!

Video link:
