I’m very excited to introduce a new location of the wildly successful ice cream shop in Vesterbro. For now, for what I’m afraid it it will be a short time, I can enjoy the same delights with a shorter waiting time! Because, just in case you are not yet aware, in sunny days the queue line outside of the original location extends way beyond the entrance door. This new store is located in a quaint and idillic area, right along the Christianshavn Kanal. Perfect for a little post-gelato stroll. And what you will find inside is gelato of the best quality ingredients and craftmanship. The flavor offering varies a little form day to day, as gelato is freshly prepared in their Vesterbro lab. Honest ice cream, no artificial anything, no Blue Smurfy flavors, thank you very much! A hint: natural pistachio ice cream SHOULDNOT be green! It’s a shade that goes from very pale grayish green to brown, depending on the variety of pistachios used. Of course everyone tells you they use pistachio de Bronte(the most expensive of them all) and then use green food coloring to make it more attractive. Siciliansk Is DOES in fact use pistachio de Bronte and all premium ingredients you can taste. My favorites are the aforementioned pistachio, mandarin and koldskål. But that’s not all. They also offer coffee, artisanal soda and bars of the cacao they import directly from Italy to make the chocolate ice cream. Don’t pass on those! Best quality raw chocolate ever!
