The restaurant is great with a great location in the heart of Norrebro you really feel like you leave Copenhagen and are transported somewhere else. The cuisine is Persian mainly from Iran. The greatest part is the Bring your own wine policy with no charge on it. That I find absolutely awesome. It was a business dinner with a prospect client and even though it was Saturday night it was good enough to talk and have a nice time. I have heard about the restaurant before and it had been recommended to me several times the last I remember at an Asian good book presentation. So I had a very high standard in my head. The food is nice but nothing extremely special I will say. We started with tzatziki which was ok and a delicious Aubergine tapenade that was really good, then I followed with their grilled chicken which was nice but nothingness special the salad lacked dressing there was none, the sauce was very little to try to balance between the rice and the chicken, my husband had their lamb chops which were nice but again nothing out of the extraordinary. I will go back and give a second try. The service was amazing and the price really really decent.

Decent food served in generous quantity and very good quality/price ratio. The service is bad, but this seems to be ubiquitous in Copenhagen, as restaurant owners tend to hire students instead of professional waiters — cheap workforce!

If you want a real taste of the Persian national dish«chello kabab», which consists of juicy, grilled skews and delicious rice, this is the place to visit. The service is very good and you’ll always leave with a satisfied smile and a full belly. Highly recommended!

Great food and great service. The portions were great(at least for what I had which was Kabab Barg) and the pricing is very fair! I eat a lot of Persian food and I’m usually very picky about it and I loved this place.

It was a while ago I ate there so I can’t remember what I ordered but the food was very touristy. And by that I mean a lot of tasteless rice and salad on the side. Even the setting of the food on the plate was very touristy. Maybe I am a bit too critical as I have lived most of my life in a tourist area before moving to dk. I didn’t like the place either so for me this restaurant is a no go. However on the plus side you can bring your own bottles of wine. So it is a good start for the night if drinking is your goal!

I took a Ghormeh sabzi, a herbs stew with lime. But I wanted to take the super spicy stew(Den stærke) but I was warned it would have taken 45 minutes to cook(a very good sign, but bad because I was really hungry). Non the less the Ghormeh sabzi was very very nice, together with the homemade bread. I kind of regret not having taken garlic and aubergine starter that one of my mate took, it was delicious. Atmosphere is very nice, with prersian-ish(pardon my ignorance) music in the background. Service is 5 stars! Beware, they only take dankort !

Very fair prices, generous portions, well prepared food, outstanding service and a horrible interior :-), don’t just walk past this one, deserves a visit. Recommended dishes are the«iransk specialitet» and the«aubergine ret» — Will definitely visit again

Am giving these guys 5 stars cause they are such excellent people and restaurant managers. I had the best 30th birthday experience there thanks to their effort, had invited a large number of people and asked for quite a lot, I feel, including playing guitar inside the restaurant, which they were remarkable cool about. When we were leaving we found out they had stayed open 40 mins extra for us! But were all humble and kind about it. The food: Very tasty and varied. Great to be able to bring your own wine. Lovely atmosphere. Thank you :)

First off: BYOB. I have yet to meet a bring-your-own-bottle restaurant that I don’t like, so we’re off to a good start. They also carry wine, but I chose to bring my own. No corking fees or anything like that. The entrée of sabzi khordan(specielle iransk forret/Iranian entrée) was an understated and refreshing dish. It’s not the most impressive dish, since it’s really just a plate of fresh herbs — mint, basil, green onion, taragon — with radishes and feta served with warm lavash flatbread. But the taste of these humble ingredients together is really wonderful. I highly recommend if you enjoy fresh and subtle flavours. Of course, you can easily make this at home, it’s just a nice way to start the meal. We tried both the ‘Zafran speciel’ and ‘Orientalsk aubergineret’. The Zafran speciel is fall-off-the-bone tender lamb shank that’s nicely seasoned with some slightly gamey lamb flavour. The aubergine dish with tender chunks of beef was my favorite. Both dishes came with saffron flavoured basmati rice. The portion sizes are very generous and meat heavy. I had enough to serve me as leftovers for lunch the next day. I’m altogether pretty impressed with the food. Everything was nicely done and tasty. The only complaint(if I have to nitpick) is that the presentation and décor looks drab. Not the most stylish or sophisticated place, but I’m a fan of their simple, flavourful food.
