Restaurant Kronborg

Our open sandwiches were very good. Our server was nice with our daughter and grown-​ups, too. Great casual service and food.

Had a very good, quick, open-​faced (danish-​style) burger for lunch here. The price seemed very reasonable, based on my other experiences eating around Copenhagen.

I had dinner with a group more specifically Julefrokost I have to say I am not an expert on Danish Christmas food but it is the second time so I have something to compare to. It was very traditional the place is lovely cozy and full of candles with an awesome location right in the center you can visit the Christmas market and then go have Julefrokost. They have all different kind of snaps very good and many homemade. We started with fish so curry sild, fried herring and Christmas herring, followed by smoked salmon, fresh salmon and breaded white fish with remoulade. That was just the start then it was followed by thick bacon Danish style, duck, root beat, flæskesteg, Pâté, folclores by a plate og cheese fig mermelade and grapes and of course ris a la amande and the winner that found the almond got a very cool gift. So definitely will recommend it to do with friends it is a lot of fun! It was a very good price for all of what we got.

Te aconsejan muy bien, el ambiente es tranquilo y tradicional y la cadencia de los platos es perfecta.
Si quieres comer en un restaurante que sea 100% danés este es tu sitio.
El pan lo sirven a parte, por lo que el smørrebrød no está montado y tú puedes aliñar la rebanada de centeno con mantequilla o manteca especiada.
Puedes beber cerveza típica danesa (no, no la típica Calrs-​berg)
Además, para acompañar la comida, puedes probar los aqvavit, licores típicos muy fuertes de varios sabores.
Es un buen lugar para disfrutar de un medio día agradable.
De postre queso ¡cómo no!

Smorrebrod? Yes please. This was my first (and hopefully not last) time having smorrebrod, and it was so good. I got the pickled herring which was just alright, but the pan-​fried plaice was amazing! It might be on my list of top 5 foods I’ve ever eaten in my life; top 10 for sure. The plaice melted in my mouth, and I’m not exaggerating. It was so good, and the sauce that came on top with it was a bit sour and went with the fish so well. The herring paled in comparison, but I think I would still have given this place four stars if I just had the herring. The waitress was pretty friendly too. Highly recommend for smorrebrod! The menu is pretty extensive and they have all kinds of toppings for the smorrebrod. Come!

Jetzt bin in zugegeben kein Maßstab für echtes Smörebröd — aber uns hats geschmeckt, die Bedienung ist flott und aufmerksam, das Essen richtig gut. Hier gehen viele Kopenhagener hin — also so schlecht scheint die einheimische Küche also nicht sein :-) Zum Mittag ein Muß bei einem Kopenhagen-​Besuch. Besonders zu Empfehlen: Haus-​Aquavit silver… hmmmm…

Nice traditional smørrebrod restaurant with delicious food. A bit on the pricy though. Try the open face sandwich with Greenland shrimps.

In search for one last smørrebrød meal in Copenhagen, TripAdvisor led us here which was exactly what we wanted.

–I loved the the Kronborg salmon fish balls (79DKK) — spongy paired with a perfect condiment
–We also had the pickled herring (62DKK) and the pan-​fried fillet of plaice (89DKK) which were spot on
Paired with some beers, a yummy meal indeed.

I went there for lunch on a slow Friday @ 1pm, as part of a group of 5. The quality of the food was decent, however it took a really long time for them to prepare our food; from coming in and up until we had our single dishes served we had to wait approximately some 55 minutes.
After having been seated the service was very inattentive, and we proactively had to ask for extra beverages, with the waiter even leaving mid-​order at one point in time.
The amount of food on our plates was appropriate for a light lunch, however be prepared to order additional dishes in case you have a healthy appetite.

Was led to Restaurant Kronborg by way of a Unilocal elite event and have never been so delightfully, overly satisfied by a smørrebrød lunch before in my life.
Kronborg is overflowing with the hygge, has excellent quality food, AMAZING dessert, and the waitstaff know what good service means (if you’ve ever lived and dined anywhere outside of Denmark, you know what I’m talking about here).
A fantastic place to learn about how to build your smørrebrød the Danish way, so while I’d obviously love to keep this place hidden for the locals, I think it’s a great place to take your visiting friends and family, too.
