The service was great and the food was good. A solid 3 star place for Vietnamese good in Copenhagen with reasonable prices.

Make sure that your mission is, to come here with an empty stomach and leave feeling like a stranded whale. PS. Please! Don’t ruin the phở with the Sriracha sauce, use the fish sauce instead

My boyfriend and I came to this place to meet my friends in Copenhagen for lunch. The place is clean and the staff are friendly. We were pleasantly surprised with their lunch offer — 79 kr for a bowl of phở — what’s not to like? Especially if you’re students on SU with limited budget. I opted for their phở bò tái(beef noodle soup) and my boyfriend had phở ga(chicken noodle soup). We were again surprised by the size of the portions. They were HUGE! and delicious! Definitely worth the money. We would definitely visit the place again whenever we’re in Copenhagen.

I didn’t walk in here with high expectations so I was pleasantly surprised that I enjoyed the phở here as much as I did. –Portions of Phở are huge: I ordered beef phở(99KR) and I had a significant amount leftover. –The broth itself is flavorful and does the trick, so if you’re like me and crave phở on a cold, windy day, give it a try –Summer rolls(60kr) were fresh, but I do think it was a bit pricy for an appetizer of that size. –Server was kind, but the service was on the slower side(however, nothing to complain about) I come from an asian community in LA, so I have higher standards when it comes to asian food. While it doesn’t compare to home, this restaurant is decent for Copenhagen.

I tried this place a year ago and for someone with my taste it unfortunately lacked a lot of the flavours I know and love in vietnamese cooking. The broth of the soup barely had any flavour, but at least there was plenty of vegetables and herbs. Not the worst of experiences, it’s just not nearly as good as it can get.

We had been on the prowl for a good solid Phở in Copenhagen. One day my girlfriend and I were both sick, so we figured what better day for Phở than now? We had just been in Berlin, where some particularly mean spirited person had gone and infected me with a mild flu. I passed it on, and in order to prevent the kiddo from contracting it, we wanted to have a giant bowl of Phở or two. So off we went. It was a unmitigated success. Not only was service pleasant if not slightly confused at first, where an elderly lady seemingly unable to communicate in any western tongue pointed at pictures on the menu and made hand gestures any decent mime would’ve envied. I never went to mime school so I had a hard time understanding what she meant. But we ended with two bowls of Phở — beef and chicken respectively, and something for the kiddo. The food was very tasty. Like even the most sporadic Phở connoisseur can attest to, a well served bowl of Phở is enough to feed a hungry fully grown adult human male. And this was no exception. Kai and I switched back and forth, like we usually do, to maximize the taste impact, and make sure we both tried everything. I liked the Phở chicken in particular, but would have either served before me without a moment’s hesitation any day. The interior design left something to be desired, but besides the tables being a midge greasy perhaps, I can’t say taggy and/or corny interior bothers me. I mean, I’m there for food. Not to judge a design competition. At least not without compensation on the bill. Would go here again.

Summary: Faux Vietnamese catering to Mainland Chinese tour groups. Upon arrival, our group heard Mandarin being spoken in the kitchen. When we asked our waitress in Mandarin whether this is Vietnamese food cooked by Chinese, she replied«no, we are Vietnamese.» Note that her Mandarin was definitely mainland Chinese, and not an ethnic Chinese raised in Vietnam. A bad omen for what was to come. The Ch giò, fried eggroll, didn’t taste Vietnamese at all. It lacked wood ear mushrooms, and the consistency of the pork and vermicelli simply didn’t deliver. One member of our party ordered a hot and sour soup, which was one of the worst soups I’ve ever tasted. It was so sour that my lips and cheeks almost collapsed inwards. Their beef Phở was massive, albeit bland and lacking umami. Looking around the dining room, we saw two tables with mainland Chinese tour groups. There were some Vesterbro hipster locals too. The fact that this restaurant has a 4 star rating on Unilocal suggest to me that the understanding of Vietnamese food in Copenhagen still has a long way to go.

Food was ok for phở in denmark, but def jot the past. It was a little weird that their bathroom was our of order and had to go across the street. Overall there was a ton of food for a fairly low price

After walking round vesterbro looking for something to eat we settled on Phở Saigon. We’d already checked it out on Unilocal and the helpful Unilocalers spoke very highly of the place. We shared a delicious platter of summer rolls for starter which i followed with a Thai Green curry and my husband a phở. The food i can only speak highly of and the price wasn’t too bad for Copenhagen either especially considering the portion sizes, but the restaurant itself was lacking in atmosphere. The ladies working and cooking were lovely, but we were the only ones in there and i was acutely aware of this… having said that it probably was a bit past dinner time so we’d probably missed the rush. Great food, great portions and friendly staff.

There is nothing quite like a big bowl of hot and spicy Phở on a snowy KBH evening. Phở Saigon definitely serves up a flavorful bowl of phở. There were a bunch of other patrons when my husband and I arrived plus plenty of people picking up Take-Out so I assume this place gets a good amount of business. My husband and I only got the phở so I can only vouch for that but it was definitely worth biking in snow for. Large portions, reasonably priced, clean restaurant, and very friendly service. They have a pretty decent menu so if you’re not craving phở, you can choose from any of their other Vietnamese dishes. I can’t really complain about this place. We will definitely be back whenever we want phở again.

Phở Saigon is where to go when you feel like you can eat a horse. The portion is huge but the price is friendly. The best dish is naturally the classic phở bo, but others aren’t bad either. One thing for sure is that they will feed you, and they will feed you good. My dainty little tummy couldn’t finish the huge bowl of phở as much as I’m digging the flavour. It’s the good old phở, can you expect more, but the portion — dang! I hope they’re not reading this and resizing the portion tho because making smaller portions is so mainstream tnat they shouldn’t consider that. Place is conveniently located at Vesterbrogade, or boulevard of food, as I call it since there are restaurants along the street — although somewhat tacky with cheesy décor, the restaurant is well-lit, clean and always welcoming. Service is great, never had complaints. This soon could be my new hangout place whenever I’m in the craving mood of the soupy Vietnamese goodness.

After a cold bicycle ride in the city I was aiming for a big hot Phở soup. Located in the center, we did not hesitate to try this Authentic vietnamiese restaurant. Appetizers quickly serve(you can choose from, fried wonton, shrimps, spring rolls or nems(fresh rolls with rice noodle and shrimps)). Then the 11 – 16 menu offers choices of meals: Beef noodles, chicken phở … Let me just stay: Generous Plate you can even share. My Phở Soup was enormous with a lot of chicken. I felt satisfied and put as much as spice sauce i wanted. In conclusion, Quick and perfect. We got our meals in about 8 minutes. We stayed at the restaurant for 30 minutes, we left satisfied. Many seating available. Confortable and clean.

I can tell you that it is not worth that price. And the soup is not fresh and good. It is only noodle soup. The real soup should be beef soup. It is amazing and fantastic!

this is quickly becoming my new favourite vietnamese place here, apart from banh mi shops. the phở is pretty good with a nice amount of herbs and it is a HUGE portion! in fact, all the portions are huge. i ordered chicken with lemongrass and though it is supposed to come with rice, i asked for rice noodles. what i was expecting was plain noodles but what i got was rice noodles stir fried with egg, sprouts, and other vegetables(and for only 20kr more)! i only managed to finish about half and had to take the rest home in a doggie bag; i’m already looking forward to eating the leftovers. the vietnamese iced coffee was good too but could be slightly stronger. for the amount of food you get, the price is pretty good and the lunch specials are even better.

Pretty damn good Phở for Copenhagen! The best eggrolls I’ve tried. You didn’t even need any dipping sauce for it. But they don’t do it like normal where they’ll give you bigger pieces of salad to wrap it. The fish sauce was too salty, so dip it in the sweet and sour if you have to. Phở– a big bowl of phở, pricey for a bowl of phở(California standards) but for Copenhagen prices it’s on the«cheap» side. Cheap as in converted to USD it’ll be about $ 20ish for a bowl of phở. They had all the ingredients you needed. The beef on the other hand was a too much in pieces for me. Usually phở will have the thinly slices of beef but Phở Saigon had small chunks here and there. The broth itself was really good and flavorful, tasted very herby and fresh. This was probably the best food deal I had in Copenhagen!

First a disclaimer — yes, I was a glutton and blame it on my addiction to great Vietnamese food. I was in pain I ate so much. Food was outstanding for a very reasonable price. Cozy family restaurant atmosphere with great friendly service and my preference over the upscale French /vIetnamese restaurants in the area. Vietnamese coffee was great, beef phở was awesome, fried egg noodle with chicken topped with crushed peanuts was very tasty. I normally get pork vermicelli, but didn’t see it on the menu. I’m coming back the next time I visit Copenhagen.

Phở Saigon is pretty much the #1 Phở joint in Copenhagen. Food is pretty expensive in Denmark and finding a Vietnamese restaurant in Copenhagen is definitely a rare gem. The prices here are reasonable and you will get your money’s worth. I ordered the Phở tai here and they make it different. The broth is hearty, full of fried garlic and the beef has been stir fried. It’s a unique and not what I’m used to eating. Their bean sprouts were not very fresh(figures) and instead of jalapenos, they used Thai chili’s instead. Having a rich and hearty soup after a long night definitely hit the spot. This would be a great spot for those trying to cure a hangover. Unfortunately if you’re looking for Phở Dac Biet or any combination, there’s none. Only basic Phở is offered. The atmosphere is friendly and the chef/owner speaks English, Danish, Vietnamese, and Mandarin.

Came here for lunch because on windy days, I just want warm soup noodles. They have a lunch special which is a large bowl of Vietnamese noodles in beef broth(they also have chicken broth) topped with fresh bean spouts and thai basil. Between 11:00 — 16:00, the lunch special is Kr 79. The soup is good and the noodles are cooked perfectly. I was sad that there was no beef tripe or tendon option on the menu, that would be a more classic phở option. The beef broth was not the best I’ve ever had, but it was good. The interior is super clean and nice with bright red cushioned chairs that are oh-so-comfortable. Service is very friendly and, as far as I can tell, the staff speaks Danish, English, and Mandarin. Menu is only in Danish though, but has photos. They also have Vietnamese iced coffee on their menu. I didn’t get it this time, but will come back to see if its any good. + cheap, good food + nice service + nice décor and very clean — not really a minus, but there were several babies in there during lunch, so if you don’t like sharing an eating space with babies, don’t go at lunch.
