Ridiculously overpriced for a poor quality breakfast: 1 cappuccino, 1 muffin, 1 pan at chocolate and 1 latte for 162 dkk(21 €!!!). The chocolate muffin was spongy and the taste of the cream was weird! Avoid this place.

I stopped in to MJ Coffee as it was right around the corner from my hotel. I just wanted a coffee and a pastry before I headed out for some sightseeing. It served the same purpose as a Starbucks would but I at least felt that it was a bit more local in nature. You order at the counter and then either sit down and wait for them to call your name, or pick it up from the counter. There was a good deal of both indoor and outdoor seating which was nice as it was a lovely morning to sit outside. The coffee was decent — good temperature and flavorful. The croissant was what you would expect, basic and nothing out of the ordinary. This is a decent place if you’re just wanting a quick coffee or snack, but I would not have an entire meal here. There are so many amazing restaurants in Copenhagen and this place is very basic and more commercial. While it’s decent, don’t waste a meal here.

I stopped here to rest for a little bit while I waited for my hotel to be available to check-in. They have free WiFi, electricity plugs and warm coffee — to be honest that is all a tourist needs while waiting for a while. Service is a little confusing, you get a menu at the table walk to the bar, get your order and pay, go back to the table and wait until they call your name(and this may take about 7 min). Place is cute and quite busy. If you are tired of hanging out here you can walk around and do some shopping. They also have some pastries if you are hungry. I wouldn’t come here in a daily basis, specially because there are so many better and cheaper options in the city, but for the purpose I stated above it’s pretty OK.

The location is top! Sitting outside, drinking wine, and watching passing pedestrians — just having a great time. If the weather is bad, it is possible to sit inside and look out through the windows, but I guess it wouldn’t be the same… So yeah, I only tried the whine, and the water. According to my friend, the espresso and black coffee are good as well. It’s a coffee shop — if you expect a big selection of fancy drinks, you are in the wrong place. But if you are just looking for a place in central CPH, where you can chill it out with some friends while staring at passing people, this is definitely an option!

The reason why I give this place 3 stars is because it is in a GREAT location. If you come here, do it when you can sit outside because the people watching factor makes it worth it. The brunches are big and yummy, but very overpriced since it’s in the middle of the city. The chai latte makes me happy, but this place isn’t something I would go out of my way to come to. If you’re in the neighborhood, grab a drink, sit outside, and just enjoy the view.

MJ(or Mojo in full) is a great location, especially for people-watching. Plus points for loads of outdoor and indoor seating! I’ve had the apple cake and chocolate mousse cake, both quite good. The only downsides are that they close down the pastry case in the early evening and they only have a house red and white wine by the glass– all others are by the bottle. Beer selection is small but passable.
