Went with my parents for a nice Korean lunch meal. We were pleasantly surprised to find this place in Copenhagen, not too far from our hotel. Preface – Denmark has about 200 Koreans in the entire country(think about that for a minute) and no Korean market. I think the owners and cook do a great job considering these circumstances. It would be like having an Italian restaurant in the North Pole. Banchan – 4−5 dishes on the side, nothing too fancy but not bad either. Main Course – I had oxtail, parents had jigae and fish, all three dishes were pretty good. The place offers lots of different Korean dishes including your typical BBQ, naengmyun, jiage(casserole) dishes. They even serve some Japanese cuisine as well. Price – $ 20−30/person. Denmark is expensive so I think this is average. Service was fine and the owner was really happy to talk with other fellow Koreans and shed some light on living in Denmark. Fortunately this restaurant was very good and subdued my parents craving for Korean food during our vacation.

We had a fine meal here — MIGA menu with 6 courses. All but the main course was small. Food was tasty, but not extraordinaire. The main reason for only 3 stars is that it was too pricey for what you got.

when i want korean food, i make it at home… but i did eat here once out of curiosity and a couple more times with friends. maybe i ordered the wrong dishes, but i was not really impressed.): kimchi chigae was okay, fish chigae was weak, and i was pretty disappointed at the quality and number of banchan i got with my mains. i am not expecting my mom’s cooking here, but if i order a soup then it should come with several side dishes; not just three. it is not that hard to make them in advance and then keep them in a fridge for the week. granted, they tasted ok. but something was missing(maybe sesame seeds?), and the kimchi was definitely not up to my standard as it tastes like it is a little too ripe. it doesn’t feel like a korean restaurant at all to me. and don’t make the mistake of ordering sushi anywhere that is“korean/chinese/ __fill-in-the-blank__& japanese.“ miga: if you want to cut a deal with me and buy my homemade kimchi on a regular basis, message me.(;
