best Asian food you can get in copenhagen. me being korean, this is a place to eat spicy food. Do not order, boring so called ‘chinese’ ordinary menu like sweet sour pork and fried rice. Try to order more szechuan style food. They really know how to make it and straight down yummy. number C11, C12, 37, and Chengdu Style seafood mix are definitely my favourite.

Ordered #49 mixed seafood dish with spicy and sweet sauce. The overall dish tasted okay but squid in the dish had funky taste/smell. I havent got sick from it yet but it is not worth to go back :(

This is my go-to place to get my asian ChaSiu pork. Being so far away from my favorite asian restaurants in California. Magasasa was the best I could find in the area. I usually get takeout at this chain so I can’t really review how the environment is like on the interior.

I’m a regular at this place but always with my chinese friends. We like the restaurant mainly because of the food, as it is not so pricey, less MSG but still tasty. Customer Service comes second — despite of rush hours and usually fully packed place, service is still top notch Sadly, today was an exception, dropped in for late lunch with a non-chinese friend and we are completely non-existent! Ridiculously hard to order, people are getting up to get the menu themselves from the front door, the waitress was not attentive and only swift at cleaning the table and the place was nearly empty. The worst part was when I ordered for a cola, she took my friend’s glass and refilled it! She’s really rolling it! I thought of having a verbal spar with her, but hell no, maybe a bad day for her and my parents taught me not to argue with people who serves my food. Verdict: It will take me ages before I come back to this place! Good luck people!

Went to this place for the first time last Saturday after hearing so many people saying this is the best Chinese restaurant in Copenhagen. As an Asian, sure I can’t miss a chance to eat here! So here it goes, I ordered a fried noodle which was blown me away. The taste, I can really say it’s authentic and super YUM! The portion was HUGE and satisfied my hunger. The price was nice for my pocket too. So win-win situation for all my senses. Definitely coming back for more and more chinese foods.

With Chinese food restaurants in Denmark, I noticed, you’re either hit or miss. It’s either cheap prices with cheap food or expensive prices for excellent food. Magasasa is the exception. Moderately priced food items that taste really good. A very helpful staff. A good location, right behind the central train station. The size of the restaurant can be a little small,(it will actually fill up very fast) but that is to be expected in Copenhagen.

Had lunch here today and was disappointed. Their tofu wasn’t fresh and the gong bao chicken was too sweet.

South Chinese food well seasoned and done good. Nothing fancy about the place, it’s only plane good food. A lot of Chinese eat at the place, and they do it in the right way with of bowl of rice and their dish at the side. Non-Chinese get a plate to eat of. We tried the beef in black pebersauce, eggplants and porksauce and duck/pork roast. They all tasted good.

The food is greasy. Even the steamed dumplings were inedible(way too much dough and the filling tasted rancid). The service is poor. We would never return.

Please don’t eat here. First off, service was terrible. We had to wait by the door for 10 minutes & ask someone to seat us while reception is busy discussing take-out orders. Secondly, food is not really chinese foods but an imitation of it. Lastly, main cook had to go to the back room to get ground pork but grabbed them by his bare hands while walking past customers tables.

The worst dining experience of our trip. Tofu wasn’t close to anything fresh and buried in a sauce that made it close to inedible. The rice smelled really bad. Honestly, it smelled like sewage, which I hate to say but it did. The noodle soup was very spicy and the soup was mostly oil. The service was also slow and inattentive. On a positive note, it was cheap.

I had the Peking soup to start(hot and sour) and found it was tasty but a little too sweet for my taste. The main was rice with roast duck and pork and this was very good standard. The taste was very good and would come back here for that again. As for the service, well I never really expect that at a Chinese restaurant to can’t say I was disappointed. The waitress took my food order and the proper food came out. Overall very good value for money and a place I would come back again with hesitation next time I am back in town.

There I was, scouting the area for some food, slowly but surely getting hAngry as Good Morning Vietnam was closed. I walked past this place and saw quite a crowd of Chinese ladies dining inside. A Chinese restaurant with a bunch of Chinese ladies dining there? «Sounds like a safe bet!» — right I was and the initial hunch I have had led me to make a good choice. Starter: Crispy Wan Tan = quite tasty and not fried in old fat which is a big plus. Main: DanDan Noodles with fried Pork. Quite spicy due to the unannounced chilli flakes but really tasty. I can also recommend the Mango Smoothie with Matcha. All in all a good Chinese restaurant with a solid selection of dishes and reasonable prices. I’ll be back for more.

I love this Magasasa. I have to thank my friend for introducing me to this wonderful little restaurant. Whenever I crave for some fried egg noodles, I’ll order from them. Specially like the eggplant dish, big green chilli dish, tofu dish, fried egg noodles, and Dan Dan noodles. And for the price, it is worth it.

Food was good but… Service was terrible! There was a misunderstanding in our order and we were served the wrong dish. We wanted a noodle dish and they brought us fried rice. They did not take the dish back or offer to bring us what we actually ordered/wanted. Instead of acknowledging the misunderstanding, they argued with us, made us feel bad, and then dismissed us completely. A few minutes later another waitress walked by and simply said«this one is good, eat it.» Additionally, the menu said one pot of tea is 30DKK, or one cup for 15DKK. I ordered a whole pot thinking it would only be only 30 since we only drank one pot. Instead, they charged us per person for tea and again argued with us about the pricing. This could have been a great meal for 3 first time visitors to Copenhagen. Instead, this restaurant completely ruined our night.

Sign me up for the Magasasa fan club! I can see why it’s gotten good reviews. They do good Chinese food with a wide range of flavours including numbing Szechuan spiciness and mild curry in Singapore fried noodles. It’s nothing fancy, but the food is satisfying and tasty. Two dishes and two beers around 270 kr. We managed to get a table by walking in Friday night and from what I could see, tons of other people just walked in off the street too. So maybe reservations are not essential if it’s just for two. Service was fast and friendly, but a little forgetful and we had to ask for things like bowls and utensils. There is an obligatory tacky tv-fish tank in the back which I both love and hate. The only thing I didn’t like was the use of preserved bamboo shoots in one Szechuan dish because it has this distinct fermented flavour I don’t enjoy. But boyfriend liked it, so to each their own. I prefer this Magasasa(Istedgade) over the Amager Magasasa, just because I like the menu range a bit more. Although the Amager location is brighter and larger.

Having lived in Denmark for 5 months now, I thought I’d give chinese food a chance. Service is a bit slow, but the food tastes authentic. It does taste like traditional chinese food and none of that china box crap on strøget. I shared a small dumpling soup, beef with pak choi and crispy spare ribs with spicy salt. What I found amusing was that all the non asian customers were given plates, forks, spoons and knives while all the asians were given bowls and chop sticks. I had to personally request for forks and a plate. Overall, the food was reasonably priced. 117 krones per person for water, endless amounts of rice, two dishes and an entrée. I might come back if I miss my mom’s cooking.

Well, this is very nice. It has a reputation as being the best Chinese restaurant in Copenhagen and that seems right. Three of us were lucky enough to get a table at 7pm on a Saturday night, as someone cancelled as we walked in. Service was rushed, but very good. The starters; spring rolls, were tasty and gently filling. The veg course was labelled as spicey and had a good bit of chilli, rather than as mild as this might often mean in Copenhagen. All dishes were very nice, the price was reasonable. Marvellous.

This is my hangout with my immigrant friends. In dire need of spicy food with affordable place? Here’s the place. I love everything on the menu but my favourite got to be #22. It might change as I try different things. String beans with chili and garlic is also delish as well as as the mapo tofu. Just thinking about it making me hungry!

one of the only places in copenhagen(and possibly denmark) where you can get real chinese food. i recommend you order from the sichuan menu or the other laminated paper menu and share the dishes family style. aubergine with pork, green beans, happy family hot pot, fish with pickled vegetables… they are all winners! if you are not of the *ahem* asian persuasion, be sure to ask for it spicy if you want it. they might go easy on you whiteys out of compassion.(;
