Kødbyen is the hip new area in Copenhagen. Earlier a meatpacking district, now it’s home to trendy bars and organic restaurants. The place still retains the dreary-looking buildings of the old days, but don’t let it fool you. Some of the good cocktail bars and restaurants are here, and of course there’s the famous beer joint Warpigs — although I’m not a big fan of it. Not only restaurants and bars, but this place hosts«Mad og Marked», a summer thing where they hold street food event every Saturday-Sunday. So it’s definitely a place worth visiting, or stumble upon when you’re partying late in town and find yourself in the vicinity of the red-light district, head here instead!

Nice area in Copenhagen with lots of restaurants and bars. Don´t miss Paté Páte or the place across the street with classic danish food. Absolutely one of the places to go for a night out also.

Fantastic(mostly) local fish, in Copenhagen’s wholesale fish market. Fancy deserts that had ups and downs, the cloudberry pie was fantastic. Fun industrial chic décor, 25% Americans, 50% Danes. Spotty, but very friendly service — our larger group may have overwhelmed them. I really enjoyed my meal.
