Good selection of spices for your Indian food needs. They have a wall of MDH brand and National brand packaged spices which is an easy option for making biryani, butter chicken, and all sorts of masala. Only thing they were missing was the National brand Jalfrezi, which was the exact thing I was looking for! But they also have a large selection of Pataks brand pastes, so I got the Pataks Jalfrezi instead. Their prices are very good. For instance, the Pataks jar I bought was Kr 22. This exact same item costs Kr 28 at Wisam Marked and Kr 30 at Aeiat Marked, both of which are close by. Don’t you love it when you save money? Even if it’s just a little? Yeah, me too.

cooking indian food tonight? then you’d better get over to dhadra! asafoetida, baby eggplants, okra, fresh curry leaves. they have everything you need for that cuisine and more; the ever-elusive can of black beans, fresh purslane, coconut oil, dates that melt in your mouth, and an impressive collection of what seems to be every edible bean and lentil in existance. the guys behind the counter are super sweet and helpful; as i was buying some un-husked gram flour, mr. ponytail asked me what it was for. after i explained the recipe, he strongly suggested forgetting the whole grains and fiber and instead going for the normal, husked gram flour. glad i listened to him; the dish turned out delicious!(: note: it’s cash only here, so your dankort won’t do you any good.
