A one of its kind in Copenhagen! Yes, there is a cover charge of 50 kr but it goes towards caring for the cats and allowing you to play and sit with them. The latte was adorable and I split the brunch with a friend. It was a very Danish brunch with rye bread, a sunny-side up egg, cheese, sausages, a warm roll and even some cheesecake(can be a cupcake some days). Overall a very cute place and a nice quiet atmosphere on a rainy day!

Cat café in Copenhagen. Who would have thought? Since the concept first introduced in Japan, it seems that this kind of café a must have for a city where most of the apartment dwellers have problems when it comes to keeping a pet. It’s notoriously infamous that it’s hard to find rental apartment in Copenhagen that allows pets, so perhaps this kind of café can relieve the ache and the longing for cat lovers that couldn’t share their home with the furry friends. The concept, therefore, is amazing, and Copenhagen is proud to have one. The execution, however is far from perfect. Fair enough, it’s still a new place. Last time I heard they had only 3, this time they have 9, so maybe they’re getting better by the days. The interior of the café itself leaves nothing to be desired, but as my friend(who is obviously a cat lover) pointed out, this place is not a human café with plush chairs and comfortable sofas, this is after all cat café and what humans think perhaps not important. I personally think it wouldn’t hurt with a couple of more comfortable seats. Why can’t a cat tree standing side by side with a high-backed chair? I have no idea. But I do think that the cats are comfortable in their«café» and that’s a good thing. We’ve met around five of the cat café dwellers, the rests are probably taking time off from the humans(there’s a little flap door on the side of the café that probably leads to the cats’ own quarter). There’s a surcharge for 50kr(that you could spend on drinks or food) to visit the café, which I think it’s fair enough since it’s for the cats. My friend ordered the katte latte(cheesy, I know) I had the summer smoothie — it was pretty good. Do visit the café during quiet time, preferably without kids around. During our visit there, some of the cats were«monopolized» by kids who had no concept of «sharing». One of the kids even glared at me when I tried to pet Tiger(one of the cats) since she thought she was the sole owner of the cat. Pshhh…

I’d actually give the café 3.5 stars, but the cats are so god damned cute. I’ve ways loved the concept, so when it opened I went there with a friend — they only had 3 cats at the time, but 2 were sleeping. I went again just a few hours ago, and they now have 9 cats I believe — so good that the cat café got more cats! I must say that of course you don’t go to the café for the culinary experience. The food is only mediocre(although the cat face on the cake was adorable), and it takes quite a long time for them to serve it. It also really sucks that you have to buy for at least 50kr — I had just spent most of my money and now I had to spend more. All in all, it’s something you need to experience, but probably not all the time :)

Went there with two friends and we loved the concept. It’s really relaxing and the atmosphere is nice. The service is not. You wait for a LONG time, they aren’t service minded. Just the time we were there two other customers complained about the wait, they couldn’t figure out who ordered what and the old plates and cups stayed for such a long time — which did attract the cats to the tables to eat it. The room is okay, but you can see that it hasn’t been fixed up since they opened, and looks kind of trashy, the toys are very used and that’s just sad to look at, especially when there is a minimum fee of 50 kr — the extra cost going to the cats… The back rooms — which you see on the way to the toilet(which doesn’t have a light btw) is filled with dirty dishes and is just not very nice. And also they put a cat out in a back room for no apparent reason — you could hear it crying from the back room. When I asked why they put it there, they didn’t really answer and said it was ok. The personel is very young and services isn’t their goal — but I guess they like cats, the cat ears are a bit too much for my taste though… The idea is very nice and the posters about the different cats are a nice touch. But I am not coming back

It’s very interesting concept. Really nice to have a different place to go. I just think the service could be better. Now they’re too slow. Just for info: there’s 50kr. minimum consummation per person, but I think this is fair enough, because the expenses for taking care of the cats are high.

the odd concept of a cat café has finally arrived in denmark! there is no entrance fee and the prices are the same as most cafes in copenhagen, with the added benefit of being able to play with cats! for now there are only three cats but they are fairly friendly. however when the place starts filling up, they quickly become shy. there were a few kids harassing the cats by waving the string-on-a-stick a bit too energetically at them but they have high places to perch and a backroom to escape to if things get too wild. i’ll definitely come back; it’s a nice place to hang out and have a cup of coffee in the presence of our feline masters. it would be nicer with more cats and maybe wifi.
