World class service and quality of cleaning! I left a badly stained shirt here while visiting Copenhagen, and unfortunately the clothing was not ready prior to my departure as promised. The owner was kind enough to clean the shirt, and mail it to me in the United States, free of charge. Highly recommend!

This review is based on service I did not get. I showed up to a locked door at noon; went next door to the dry cleaning facility and a jerk in a beard said, «So many of you tourists are in town doing all this washing, so we close up. Come back maybe at three.» I did not go back at three; I would not go back in three hours or three years. Bite me.

Had a bit of a bad surprise due to miscommunication the first time I went there, but Tom the manager fixed that. Nice job, OK price.

Has anybody here seen Can’t Buy Me Love? You know the part where Cindy Mancini goes to that party wearing the perfect silk outfit she«borrowed» from her mom and then some douchebag spills wine on it and the dry cleaner says it’s going to cost a thousand dollars to get the stain out? My experience at Alaska Vask & Rens was nothing like that. Except for the stain part. And the silk part. Here’s how it went. Had a party to celebrate my 30th birthday. Had this killer silk dress on(yes, it had pockets). Went to wash a couple dishes. Kitchen faucet had unpredictable water pressure and BAM, just like that, grease stains all over my awesome silk dress. Happy Birthday Indeed. I get a discount on dry cleaning through my company if I am willing to abandon my belongings in the basement of our building and trust they’ll come back eventually. I simply was not willing to take the risk this time. And so I found myself standing in Alaska Vask & Rens, justifying that it must be good if it’s named after a state as beautiful as Alaska, probably with a pretty pathetic look of desperation on my face. I begged for them to try hard to remove the stains, and then bid godspeed to my silk and hoped for the best. Listen you guys. Not only did the brave strong men of Alaska Vask & Rens get rid of the grease stains, they also got rid of some discoloration that had happened after a moisture incident while traveling in my suitcase a couple months ago. How thrilled am I? Pretty freakin’ thrilled. Moral of the story? I realize people rarely travel out of their way for dry cleaning. I don’t either. But if you live in the area, and have some stained shirts or something, I HIGHLY recommend these guys.
