On a friends referral, the 1^st time I went, the owner’s sister was working front of house, and I bought Cream pies w/​Coconut. They were not fresh at all. The cake was so dry! I thought I would try to give it another chance, so I returned. The owner (brother) was there and when I placed my order, he went and got my items from the back of house (kitchen). This time they were fresh. I decided to return a 3^rd time. Again his sister was working front of house. This time, I definitely asked her if it was «fresh», and she said yes — so I went ahead purchased 5 Cream pies for some dinner guests. Again, to my disappointment and to the embarrassment in front of my guests, they were NOT FRESH! The cake base was so dry, thank goodness for the cream filling — which we needed to be able to swallow it.
Considering the bakery is onsite and they claim to bake fresh items daily, I am very disappointed by the lack of freshness. These items should be marked down! i can get better fresh baked good (s) in the supermarket or Tim Horton’s. I immediately called the owner and expressed my bad experience and told him that I would not be returning again.
