My husband, son and I recently went to the Qdoba restaurant on Kenaston. Our son loves this place, due to some great coupons we decided to try it out. We all had their three tacos for $ 11 — there is a variety of choice including vegetarian, we all mixed and matched. The way the counter staff put together the tacos reminded me of subway. In my opinion they tasted very good, I loved their soda machine.

The burritos are the usual size to find at most restaurants with all the helpings you can choose all while being made in front of you. The taste is the same as other burritos from a fast food restaurant as well. Glutinous flour outer layer. Numerous amount of spooned in fillings from several bins in between customer and server. No outstanding differences in taste to write home about. However, I would venture elsewhere if you value proper food digestion post meal. Unlike your normal high fat meal of French fries or whatever, this combination of beans, rice, flour, small amount of vegetables, cheese, sauce and meat will take some time to exit not only your stomach for further processing, but may leave you wondering if anything is occurring at all besides the gas that normally proceeds a taco place. While your body is overcome with the stress of breaking down this one pound flour balloon, you may have three days of –on and off sitting– or maybe, find out why you haven’t been regular lately while in your car, grid locked in rush hour traffic, and panicked wondering how to not spray the back of your seat. After the stomach pains cease, three days later, and you’re going over plans to never buy a burrito again, I must mention there are also tacos on the menu. However, if you are already suffering the everyday task of straining pounds of feces down your choking toilet. gi tract lined thick with remnants of starchy product, treats and half chewed rotting meat from your previous gluttony. Feel better knowing you can keep the vicious cycle going for around ten dollars plus drink. Whether you’re shaking your fist«never again» or on the fence saying«it can’t be that bad?» ask yourself«do I have the extra hours it takes in the next few days to deal with this?» Yes, it’s more expensive than McDonald’s, and after all, you’re a responsible person. We could use a different place to eat every now and then. One star for a nice place to sit with folks and quick ordering. Minus four stars for the food.

Normally great! Staff must be having a bad night. First guy asked us what we wanted; told him; he turned around and spent the next five or so minutes finishing the previous order. The next girl was almost done putting mine together, and stopped to rebuild said previous order. While she was rushing to do this and finish my order; another girl was just wiping trays… at no point did someone say, I’m sorry, It will be just a minute or so while I finish this… I must look easy to please…

Really enjoyed my burrito bowl, which I had with shredded beef($ 10.20). It was the closest thing that came to the one I had from Chipotle, which I missed having when I was in LA.(Note: I’ve also tried the burrito bowl at Burrito Del Rio Taqueria, which was good, but I felt Qdoba came closer to what I had at Chipotle.) I also ordered the chips and salsa($ 3), which I found to be overly salty, and would most likely not order again. Overall, I would definitely return again to get my fix for whenever I’m craving for a burrito bowl. I only wish they had another location down in the south end, as this location is to far from where I live.

Tried this chain for the first time in Fargo and really liked it. Love that there’s one in the city now! It’s located on Ellice Ave near the polo park area by the Winners and Jysk strip mall. This place recently opened and is very clean and spacious for a fast food joint. They offer up tacos, burritos, quesadillas, soups and taco salads. Lots of fresh ingredients — much better than taco time or taco bell. There’s grilled chicken, grilled steak, pulled pork, shredded beef and ground beef to choose from. I usually get the«Craft Two» which is the best option if you’re trying this place for the first time. For $ 8.59 you can select two of their most popular dishes: Mexican gumbo, nachos, two tacos(hard and/or soft with the various proteins mentioned), grilled quesadilla, naked taco salad, naked burrito and tortilla soup. Love the tortilla soup which the serve offered up adding salsa and a protein into it so I opted for the corn salsa and the chicken. The soup is spicy and tangy and just oh so good with great flavour. Went with the two tacos — the hard shell taco is not greasy and kept its shape pretty well and held the fillings in. The soft taco is a flour tortilla, not sure if they offer corn as I prefer corn tortillas. The grilled chicken had good flavour and the shredded beef was tender and juicy. You have 6 different salsas to choose from, the hottest one is the fiery habanero which had a decent heat to it. You get to add cheese, sour cream and lettuce on your tacos. So with the craft 2 and a drink my meal came to $ 12 total — very good and filling meal. For a fast food restaurant the food had great flavour and tasted pretty fresh and had much better value than a place like McDonalds. Service was fast, efficient and friendly. Grab a qdoba rewards card(near the till) and sign up online and get free chips and salsa plus other rewards.
