Kenko Sushi

Very good! The snapper sashimi was delicious! Tempura was light and flaky. Service was polite and friendly and attentive. We will come back for sure.

Food is really good, but the wait is also very long. Been there a couple times and without doubt always waited for more than 30 mins.

Tried this place because of the other Unilocal reviews. We have been disappointed in many of the sushi places in our area, some that used to be good are no longer. This place was spot on. We ordered take out, took twenty minutes food was oh so fresh and delicious.
Special udon was great. Rolls were smaller but overall I would put this place as mid priced, about 20 bucks a person for take out will get you lots to eat.
Also enjoyed all of the rolls we got including yam, California, crunch, and a few others. Again try the special udon it was awesome.
Will definitely be back.

This is a great place to get sushi in Winnipeg. High quality sushi. Taste was perfect and presentation was amazing. We ordered apps, nigiri, rolls, and sashimi and all came out perfect — reasonably priced too
I read that some people thought service was awkward… There is ONE GIRL running the entire dining room! No wonder u didn’t get your «water». Did u go there for water or did u go there for a sushi dinner… Chefs are on point there so don’t complain. Great place and I’m definitely going back.

Went here for dinner with my boyfriend and had a really nice time. Wait staff was a little awkward (didn’t offer us any drinks besides water) but the qaulity of the food was very good so that’s what this review is based on. I also have to mention that I HATE the lighting and the seating in here. Be prepared to sit on a futon because that is the kind of «benches» (chairs? seats? lol idunno, they are futons) they have and the lighting is directly overhead so you’re gonna look like you have a moustache and unibrow no matter what.
The sushi itself was fresh, the rice was a nice temperature, the rolls were huge. We tried various vegetable rolls which were very good (yaki yasai was super yummy, with roasted veg). The agedashi tofu was very good; sauce was flavourful, tofu was crispy. My boyfriend had teriyaki skewers which were good, we shared gyoza but I would skip these (watery, not crispy on the bottom).
The food was really good so we will return.

Fantastic sushi. I read several reviews that claimed the rolls were too small, or the price was too high, but my wife and I tried this place this week and were more than happy. We paid less than $ 50 for the 2 of us, felt well fed when we left and the rolls a nice size, and more importantly, absolutely delicious. Their sushi was fresh and tasty, and of the three rolls that we ordered, each one was great. The only bad thing was that there too many rolls on the menu for me to try all the ones that sounded good. I guess I’ll just have to go back.
