This place has taken over the Pastry Castle’s old location in the Exchange. It serves sandwiches and soups for lunch but I didn’t try any of that as what I came for were the Filipino pastries. I’m sure the soups and sandwiches are pretty similar to most places but this place is far better known for its Filipino bakery section. The baked goods are similar to Chinese bakeries in the sense that there are sweet baked buns and many are filled with meat or some sort of paste. Tried a few of their filled buns which look like dinner rolls. The pan de coco was filled with coconut and chocolate, it was sweet and familiar tasting. Also tried the ube flavour(purple yam), yeah it sounds odd to put a purple yam paste into a dessert but it works. It sweet and tastes like a subtle version of red bean paste. There are also cookies and other familiar cakes to try that are Filipino based. Service was really friendly and nice.
