If you’re looking for luxury men’s wear, then this is the place for it. Hanford Drewitt has been around since 1948 and were the first to introduce Hugo Boss to the city. They sell mostly European brands especially Italian. Lots of suits and dress shirts and an amazing selection of high-end dress shoes. There’s also a small section of sports/casual wear and outerwear. They sell brands like Hugo Boss, Alberto Guardiani, Poggianti, Signum, Van Gils, Pal Zileri and Mabrun. You can’t miss this store on Broadway as it’s a dark gray cube with no windows other than the display area. The interior is a darker space so it feels like you’ve stepped into another world when you enter the store. Service ranges from neutral, friendly to cold with a bit of a «I don’t really care» type of attitude. You will probably get warmer service from Harry Rosen since it’s situated in a mall and the sales people there are trained in that sense. Here, it’s a boutique and it’s almost like you have to earn friendly service. LOL. It really depends on the sales person you encounter. We had the best service from the owner but it also helps when my honey has been a client for years. There is parking behind the store though it’s a bit chaotic as you’re double parked behind staff.
