Chamberlyn’s Restaurant & Lounge

Decided to walk around downtown in search of a restaurant that I have never eaten at before and found this place.
From the menu on the wall outside of the restaurant I was quite intrigued. After walking in however it was a different story. There was nobody else in the restaurant and the décor is severely outdated to the extent that I was truly creeped out. Thought I was on the set of a horror movie.
The service was less than stellar. When I walked in the server yelled to the manager and asked if they were still open. Their posted hours were 11am to She was a little creepy actually but it was really hard to tell through the horror set.

The food is always very good. There’s enough variety in the menu to please everyone. This is my «go-​to» restaurant for lunch!

Servings are big.
Food is ok.
Dont order soup. I find it pricey for 10 oz soup at $ 3. I ordered chicken vegetable soup.
Service is ok. We were 10 in the table and they only have 1 bottle of ketchup.
The price, I would say reasonable.
I’m giving it 3 stars because of the service & the price of the soup.

We found ourselves here for a lunch celebration with coworkers. Dineoutgal probably said it best when she said they are no surprises. To sum it up very good service, OK food, a little high on the price, my guess is if I went back and had the same dish next year it would be the same. The serve a good solid me of standard items and there is no reason not to go, however I will likely be next years lunch-​in before I make it back here.

I’ll give this place a boost in the rating. For a convenient lunch place that I can eat within an hour and not have to face the elements, it’s A-​OK. Orders are taken quickly and the food comes out just as fast. Like I’ve said before in my other reviews, there’s nothing innovative or exciting about this place but I think that’s why it’s so popular. You know what to expect and people like eating reubens and clubhouses. My fav and probably the «healthiest» item on the menu is the «Howard Special» ($ 14.95) which comes with 2 small chicken breasts and lots of veggies like broccoli, cauliflower, green peppers and carrots which is all cooked in herbed olive oil. You can added pasta for an extra $ 1. The dish is lightly seasoned but with enough flavours that you don’t feel like you’re eating super healthy. I’ve had this dish a few times and on the occasion, the oil is a bit heavy handed. Otherwise, nice dish. The servers are very personable and prompt.
