Pastry Table

My family and I have been buying cakes from this bakery for over 20 years. Their specialty is the Chocolate mocha torte. Incredible – not too sweet, but just enough; moist and rich.
But the reason for this rave review (other than the mocha) is that they made a cake for my daughter’s birthday. so what, you say? My daughter has severe nut allergies and can never eat cake at birthday parties, etc, because of potential cross contamination.
The staff and pastry chefs at thePastry table told us that they’d boil all implements and bake the cake in a secure location.
They delivered as promised, and my daughter was thrilled – the first time she got to have «real» birthday cake (as opposed to the junk stuff we made at home out of a box!).
