I was in town from Los Angeles and spotted this place. Wandered in and had koobideh. Great food, very fast and attentive service. Highly recommended if you are in Victoria!

My go to Persian place in victoria. 2 beef kabobs over saffron rice, just wow! Ben(owner & chef) makes best rice I have had. Choose from saffron, Burberry and few other options for rice. There is chicken kabobs, beef tenderloin kabobs, authentic Persian specialties! A must try!

It’s so easy to go to a bad restaurant when you’re in a town as a tourist. Luckily we were pleasantly surprised to find this place not far from the main drag. The food was delicious. We had the kebabs and hummus and eggplant appetizer. We also had the vegetarian«curry». Everything was truly delicious. They also were very family-friendly. I noted a real high chair, not a restaurant one. The eggplant appetizer was really different than anything I’ve ever had before. It was a yellowish color and had a lot of zip to it. I also really enjoyed the vegetarian lentil«curry». Wow.

The restaurant was very neat although I would expect more Persian personality in the décor. We had beef kabob and chicken kabob with spicy red rice and finished up with a couple of pieces of baklava. Our food had a subtle spicing with the beef kabob and the spicy rice coming in as our favorites. The baklava was a generous portion and delicious not as sticky and sweet as we have had in the past. I also had a dough which was a drink of soda, yogurt, mint, and lime juice. Interestingly it was salty but actually quite refreshing. I am not sure I would recommend it but it was definitely an experience — an acquired taste I’d say!

Amazing food! This is real Persian/Iranian kababs. Try the lamb kabab with plain rice. The Persian tea is awesome as well!

From the outside, the restaurant didn’t look too appealing. but as we all know– looks can be deceiving. ;) The menu looked promising and our goal was to eat at a different type of food during our trip, so we ate here. I got the lamb and chicken skewer plate. We also shared some pita bread with hummus. The hummus was kind of bland and I prefer lamb sliced up. We tried one of the baklavas and it was too rich for me. I think it had honey in it… something was dripping lol.

I’ve dropped in a few times for lunch and enjoyed the food for what it is; pretty healthy, simple but tasty and satisfying. The service has been pleasant and the dishes are always ready really quickly. I’ve yet to see it too busy to be worth it, which leads me to the main reason I haven’t given them a four star review… I’ve tried to order take-out from them 3 or 4 times now and every single time they tell me it’s far too busy and it’s going to be at least an hour and a half. This completely baffles me as I’ve never seen the place full and I’ve never waited more than about 10 minutes for a meal when I’ve dined in there. That said… The kabobs are pretty good, the flavoured basmati rice offerings are nice and the tzatziki, pita and chicken legs are also quite decent. Don’t go in expecting to be floored by the flavours, but it’s all pretty enjoyable, quick and reasonably priced(just don’t try to call in for take out!)

Persians go to a Persian restaurant because of the kabbob, it is just that delicious(and that much work)! I’d suggest trying out the lamb kabbobs. The place is lit a bit brightly although, good or bad depending on your opinion.

Nobody in town seems to know the name of this restaurant. It’s just«that Persian place.» I went here for dinner. As a vegetarian, the pickings were slim — just two entrees on the menu, as far as I could see. In most cases, this is a sign of a restaurant making a single throwaway dish for non-meat-eaters. But thankfully, not here. I ordered the vegetarian qhymeh stew, which was tangy and absolutely delicious — mushrooms, zucchini, eggplant, and sun dried lime, with rice and small green salad side dish. Weirdly enough, Side Dish’s salad side dish was nothing special, but I’d totally come back here, just to have that same entrée. Recommended.
