We come here every time we visit Victoria, and the quality of the food hasn’t changed. Classic Greek food, almost as good as grandmas! Generous portions, friendly service – give it a try.

Went at lunch on a holiday when most restaurants had wait lines… not here. We were alone — the locals must know. We were approached by an Asian waitress, who when I asked how the calamari were prepared could not speak English, didn’t understand«fried» or «baked». We left and later learned the place had been sold during the past year. I would not suggest eating here.

For a person who doesn’t know about Greek food, the Lamps and prawns here are exceptionally good. The waiters and waitresses are being very helpful, especially the owner herself.

Visited this joint last evening. Excellent presentation, great taste, good lamb. I am not seeing the stingy portions others are talking about. The plates were overflowing, perhaps small portions by Canadian standards! ;-) Our waitress(es) were attentive and courteous and made appealing recommendations as my wife and I are not experts in Greek cuisine. We felt well guided and overall very satisfied.

Busy Friday nite in Victoria in the summer. Stopped in for dinner place is less than half full. Service good. Food appalling! The garlic is not fresh so they have compensated by using lots and lots, terrible after taste. Hardly any spinach in the spanokopita, it seemed like it had been microwaved after having been frozen for a few months. No atmosphere. Won’t go back.

I would have given four stars had they not been playing a Latin radio station. Delicious food and wonderful service. Fresh bread and big fluffy pita baked on the premises. Tender falling off the bone braised lamb shank and for cocktail lovers try the Greek Buck –ouzo, brandy, ginger & lemon.

I went with three friends. Two of us had moussaka while the others had roast lamb. All four agreed the meals were delicious, and the presentation of each meal was superb. Service was quick, thorough, and yet not intrusive. Although Millo’s has been in business for 35 years, it was a first visit for a couple of us. We were all pleased and plan to return.

Horrible. I ordered the gyro to take out. It would come with Greek salad, but the very tiny salad wasn’t Greek, just pieces of tomatoes and onions. The gyro??? A joke. Super small, gyro meat burned, Greek sauce completely tasteless and no lettuce. I asked myself«where is the gyro??». Seriously, 4 small slices crispier than bacon which is wrong. All this disappointment for $ 15. Don’t go to this place. All the best gyros I ate before cost $ 9.

I wonder why my 1 star review got erased. Overly priced, salted and overwhelmingly small portioned. This is NOT authentic Greek fare.

We walked in early in the evening and weren’t sure it was open but the staff caught us as we went out the door. This place has a cute bar area and had the pregame show of the Monday Night Football on so we glanced as that as we were being seated in the dining room. U. S. Football rather than soccer for those keeping score. :) We elected to pick out some small bites which fit the bill perfectly. We had some spanakopita and some hummus with some vegetables that were plentiful and very tasty. This place seemed about as authentic as they come and very efficient wait staff who saw to our every need. The YS had some local Canadian beer and I stuck to a soft drink. All in all a pleasant meal for us early birds as we had dinner reservations later at another restaurant but need a quick snack to pull us through. I would not hesitate to stop back by again.

Loved the food! Have a jones for authentic Greek. More or less we found it here. Food can be a bit pricey so be careful how you order. Lamb was by far one of the best I have had. Portions are generous, restaurant was clean and well-decorated. It was just my wife and I but this would be a great place to bring a group! Would go again if we were visiting longer.

Pretty damn good! Not the best/most authentic Greek food I’ve had, but definitely delicious. I went with my parents to celebrate my mother’s birthday, her choice. We shared the ‘tiropita’(three cheeses bakes in phyllo) for a starter. We were all pleased(crispy, melty cheeses). My father had the ribs(?)… he’s picky about ribs, they weren’t great, but no bad. My mother had delectable ‘Garlic Tiger Prawns’. I went with my old stand-by of chicken souvlaki(I don’t eat pork or beef) and was not disappointed. The platter came with Greek potatoes or rice(I chose the potatoes: good, but did not like the lemon tang though my parents did) and roast vegetables. Though the chicken was tasty and moist with nice and tangy tzatziki, the highlight for me: the roasted vegetables. Not only were they plentiful, but various(carrots, zucchini, broccoli, cauliflower, onions and a couple more) and flavourful ;) As we were there a week-end night, we got a belly-dancing show. Not my thing(a little gimmicky and un-authentic) but some patrons seemed to enjoy it. Once the light from the skylight faded, it was a little dark(like a taverna), some Greek knick-knacks were in the entry level. The music was more Arabic(as mentioned) than Greek, but that was ok. It was ‘busy’ the whole time we were there –the whole middle level was constantly turning over, a couple tables on the upper level were occupied, but the lower level was empty. The service was ok. I wd definitely go back!

We ate here for lunch. It was our group of 6 and about 2 other groups. Not sure how busy it is at dinner, but lunch was a bit of a dead zone. Prices were a bit more than you would hope for. Not too expensive, but for what you get a few bucks cheaper would be nice. Liked the pita, but the chicken skewer I got was a bit skimpy for the price. While you are waiting for your food to come you get a basket of bread. Pretty good flavor. Décor is fine, but a bit weird. Maybe it tries to hard? or is a bit cheap? Does not distract too much, but I noticed something odd feeling when I walked in. Bathroom is very nice and recently re-done, but it is in a basement like area. There is a weird musty/dank/moldy smell coming from the basement area. You sort of smell it from the eating area, but for sure in the bathroom. food flavor was good. service was fine — not great but fine

Overpriced and stingy portions. The dolmathes were good but unfortunately coated in sticky yellow glop. The food was lukewarm. The phyllo pastry soggy and unrecognizable as such. I’ve had better Greek food at a mall food court.

We went to Millo’s on a Monday afternoon because I was craving a Gyro. The enormous restaurant was empty, we were the only table. They open for dinner at 3:30 and it was 4PM. The waitress was great. Very friendly. The Gyro sandwich wasn’t on the dinner menu but she asked the kitchen if they would make it anyway, they agreed and I was grateful. She brought out waters and a bread basket with olive oil/balsamic vinegar dipping sauce. We ordered a Large Greek Salad and Pita Bread with Tzatziki sauce to share. The Greek Salad was okay, typical. The Pita Bread and Tzatziki sauce was good, typical. For dinner, I had the Gyro with Rice Pilaf and vegetables. My husband ordered the Chicken Souvlakis with potatoes and vegetables. My Gyro was a little disappointing. There were only three thin slices of meat in my sandwich. I’m used to Gyros being stuffed with the sliced meat and full of flavor. The Pilaf was good and the vegetables were nicely seasoned and prepared. My husband’s Chicken Souvlakis was incredible! Very tasty. The dinner portions seemed small considering the price($ 18). My husband’s Chicken Souvlakis was one kabob of chicken with about 4 – 5 bitesize pieces of potato and the vegetables. Except for the Gyro(which wasn’t even on the dinner menu), everything was good/okay(as expected). It was a little expensive, esp since the dinner entrees seemed small. My husband ordered one beer and the cost of dinner, including tip came out to about $ 80.

— charming, casual and social atmosphere — felt like we were on vacation — very reasonable prices — service was slow to start, but may have been idiosyncratic — belly dance at 7:30p was certainly a conversation starter — great place for parties of 2 to 20!(though we were only 6, I could imagine it would be a great place to host larger groups)

Expensive! Greek food tastes like it was made by non Greeks. At least it was still in business tonight, but hopefully for not much longer.

I couldn’t possibly call myself a true Unilocaler without writing a review on my absolute favourite Greek Restaurant in the world. Yeah, I said it. And it’s true. Milos stands out in all the ways that matter. First of all, from a completely superficial stand point, it has a friggin windmill projecting out of it. How could you possibly miss that??? And from the minute you step inside this glorious restaurant, it feels as though you’ve been transported into an outdoor plaza somewhere in Greece. The greenery, the décor, the ambiance, the table-settings, the menu… everything is perfect. Next up: the service. If you want high quality service, Milos is where to go. The servers are wonderful and they are always helpful in recommending a personal favourite. Now let’s get to it: the food. THE best Greek food I have ever had. I actually dream about Milos. And every single time I’m in Victoria, I make it a point to stop in for a meal… or two… or three. Everything from their starters to their entrees are tongue-tantalizing good. In fact, let me just give you an example of HOW good their food is. My boyfriend and I ordered the Saganaki for a starter(it’s flamed cheese, so it arrives on fire). We couldn’t make it through much of it because it is really filling and so on our way out, we handed it over to a homeless man. We spent about an hour walking around town and just by coincidence, we happened to run into the homeless man at a later point in the evening. He gave us the biggest smile and said«Thank you SO much for that delicious chicken!» Yup, that’s right, the cheese was SO good, SO rich, SO well prepared, that a man mistook it for chicken. The food is THATGOOD. I highly recommend Milos to everyone out there who enjoys excellent food, excellent service, excellent surroundings and an all-around excellent experience. I highly recommend the zucchinni sticks and Saganaki as starters!!! Oh, and don’t forget to have a couple for me!!!

My friends and I happened to randomly wander into this place, fairly hungry, and vaguely curious about the big fake windmill atop the restaurant. It took us a good three minutes till we could even see a server amidst a busy restaurant busy with the chattering of diners. We finally managed to track someone down, and get seated. The space was comfortable, and perfect for a long casual dinner with friends. I also really enjoyed the(recorded) music playing in the background(maybe something Arabic? it didn’t sound Greek). The menu looked promising. I ordered the vegetarian plate, and pita bread and tzatziki sauce as an appetizer. The meal was warm and good, but there was room for improvement. The tzatziki sauce could have been tangier, and while I enjoyed the(large) vegetarian plate, some of it felt tasteless. The server situation didn’t get better. While they were personally friendly, we also didn’t get a single refill on our water the enter 90+ minutes we were there. At least the prices were reasonable; our total bill was about $ 150 for six entrees, an appetizer, three beers, a coffee, and tips. I’d contemplate coming back to Millos, but it wouldn’t be my first choice.
