L’Authentique poutine and burger

Incredible food. L’Authentique will make your taste buds feel like they are in heaven.

Stopped to grab lunch from this food truck while at Westshore Centre. I lived in Montréal for many years, so was excited to try some traditional favourites.
My friend and I shared a poutine and a smoked meat sandwich. The poutine was okay — fries were thin shoestrings (not chunky fries like traditional Quebec poutine) and the gravy and curds were alright. Filling and comforting on a cold day, but nothing special.
The smoked meat sandwich, however, was the complete opposite of what it should be – I got thick slices of a very fatty, pork-​like meat (instead of thin-​shaved brisket) stuffed into a soft hamburger bun (instead of slices of rye bread). And NO mustard, what?! Why even bother calling this a smoked meat sandwich? At least a pickle was included.
Lack of authenticity aside, the food just wasn’t great. The two owners were friendly & clearly passionate about their venture, and I wish them bonne chance — I probably won’t return though.

This little food truck has absolutely fantastic poutine. Definitely worth a quick stop in if you are in the Westshore area, super yummy. Haven’t tried anything else yet but if the poutine is any indication, it will all be delish! Staff was really nice, and the poutine was made to order. I’ll gladly wait a few minutes to have made to order instead of sitting on a warming tray!

so far just ordered the special poutine. was basically smoked beef, burger patty and hotdog. gracy was delicous and fries were a nice thin cut, which is my perfered choice for poutine. defiantly gong back to try onenof the burgers.
