Vera’s On The Drive

My burger was small and overbooked, my bacon was black and crispy… And it’s like they forgot the fries… So sitting with a drink for twenty minutes… And than get a huge disappointment :(

Excellent, has been renovated and new management last year. The food is as expected, some of the best burgers in town. friendly staff and they go above and beyond to make your order on time and pretty (sometimes!). Onion rings can be a bit too greasy but the burgers are usually top notch and consistent.

The staff are friendly and I liked the free jukebox set up they have going. But I’ve quite literally never had worse food in my life. There was only one person when we entered the restaurant. We both ordered tacos. A good ten minutes pass and a group of four come in and order. About ten after that they got their entire order while we still hadn’t gotten our tacos. When they finally came they were pretty much inedible. The tortillas were so stale they were hard to bite through (my jaw was sore before I even finished the first one) and the meat was room temperature. The only explanation is that the cook made them and forgot to run them out. My jaw still hurts and it was hours ago. Stupid of us not to say anything… we absolutely should have gotten our money back. But we just didn’t have the heart to tell the nice staff that they just served us the worst food we’ve had in our lives. Didn’t finish, left still hungry. And the Coke freestyle machine was out of most flavours. Total garbage.

Stopped in to compliment Veras on their Christmas decorations and stayed for a burger (delicious) and a beer (good selection by the way). I found out that Veras is under new management and the staff are very friendly and welcoming with great customer service.

I’ve been here a few times with friends for just a Burger which was juicy, well prepared and felt more like a meal and less like junk food. Decent amount of seating, always busy and good customer service. It is $$$ but you’re getting a mild step up from fast food.

This place rocks! Amazing staff. No bored teenagers acting as if you’re taking up their precious time. They treat everyone as if they’re regulars. It’s a great vibe and awesome food. It’s not all burgers either (which are fabulous). $ 15 bucks gets you a couple tacos and 4 beers! They also have a drink machine from the future with over 100 flavours. Good atmosphere and lighting too. Not your average burger shack.

Let me start by saying the staff were amazing. I took my wife here after having the best turkey burger in my life at vera’s main St location and raving to her for the past month on how good they were.
We ordered a couple turkey burgers and they were made with previously frozen, thin patties from Gordon’s food service (info from cook there) and not fresh ground chuck home made, thick juicy patties like at the main St location, but yet priced the same! For $ 10 a burger shame on the management for not keeping the quality the same across this franchise.

As advertised. Burger was excellent (grilled chicken) and I loved the free form coke machine. I can see it easily getting too packed to be comfortable but we were there in at a low time and it was very nice. Service and food not to be faulted.
