I’m a big fan of Vietnamese food and crave phở soup on almost a daily basis. Since I work in Harbour Centre, and don’t always leave the building, I venture down to the food court and over to Vana to quickly satisfy my cravings. Both their chicken and beef phở, although not spectacular by any sense of the imagination, is fast and decent. The broth is sometimes a little on the salty side, but I can overlook it for the convenience. However, if you are looking to compare Vana to any phở place along Kingsway, you’ll be sadly disappointed. Treat this as a convenient alternative when you’re in the area. Also, I wouldn’t recommend their lemon grass chicken and rice special. The chicken appears somewhat deep fried and lacking the more succulent grilled versions I’ve grown accustomed to. Instead, opt for the grilled chicken skewer on rice or vermicelli noodles. Far healthier and tastier.
