So nice! They don’t make you feel like a number which is greatly appreciated. Lots of in store help with knowledgeable staff.

Fantastic service! The team at Valhalla really took the time to help me and were quick to change over my boots to the correct size. Nice to be looked after!

They just gave me a couple of P-Tex candles for free. Thanks :)

I like the selection at Valhalla, especially as MEC gets more lifestyle’y, but I just tried to return a water filter, bought at the Squamish branch 2 days previous(unopened, with receipt, correct card etc) and the manager would only offer me store credit! Because as he told me, he didn’t want me going and spending the money at MEC instead! Er, yes– but that’s MYFRIGGINMONEY! Sadly, his ignorant attitude will have the opposite effect because I will go out of my way to try and buy whatever I need at MEC in future and failing that, any other store but this one.

Solid 3.5 stars, always good to support a BC-owned company, over a dozen stores here and in Alberta. I’ve shopped here for the fleece, the usual brands like North Face and my darling Arcyterx… prices seem to be better as usual, just whether or not you need more, or in the mood to find your size. Metered parking all around except for rush hour.

I came in here to try and look for some snow pants for a UYE tomorrow. I appreciated the girls help and they have top quality stuff, however, for something I may only use once every 3 years it was a bit of a steep investment, however, as a hobby shop they clearly select the best.

After sweltering in a few weeks of bullpucky hot weather in Portland the GF and I were looking forward to a vaca in some Vancouver rain and mist. Did we ever get it. Unfortunately my trusty Marmot Precip had given up the ghost, probably from a lack of care. Some frenzied Googling while I dried off lead me here, where I found the exact same make, model and color. While Citibank was chewing on my transaction homeboy behind the counter even squeezed in a quick lesson on preserving my new-but-the-same garment. Awesome.

Valhalla Pure Outfitters is a great place to shop. Some products are expensive, but they have competitive prices and you can find gears for all prices too. What really makes Valhalla a great place to shop is the customer service. They make you feel no pressure to buy whatsoever, and that my friend is priceless. Lots of people shop there and have many questions(a little too many sometimes!), but the personnel know what they are talking about and are extremely friendly. I would recommend this place from anyone that is new to the outdoor to the outdoor addict.

If you’re a first-timer, don’ be intimidated by the fetishist display of outdoor equipment. They know what they’re talking about and they will bend over backwards to help you find something you’re looking for, even if they don’t carry the item(s). Also, the eye-candy factor is pretty up there!

I love these guys. They are outdoorsy to the max, and they know their stuff because they wear it and use it. I came in here looking for tents, jackets, and headlamps. They only carry the top outdoor brands that are reliable. I walked into MEC and got no help, then wandered over to this store and was helped times 3.
