Urban News, a.k.a. Urban Waves Bike Rental has made a fan out of me. We stopped in here as we were walking the seawall near the convention center to rent bikes. The bikes and locks were fine, the helmets OK if a bit used looking. We rode about 25 miles (40 km). They have a pay structure where you pay upon return for the number of hours you keep the bike. Unlike other bike rental places, they are open until 9pm. Their highest rate is the 6– to 8-​hour rate. Since we had the bikes out about 6 hours, he charged one of us at the 5 hour rate and one of us at the higher rate, which they didn’t have to do. They were quite busy on our return, but the guy came running after me just after we’d paid and left and said that he’d made an error in our rate calculation and handed me $ 7 (even though I’d paid by credit card). They have made a big fan out of me!
