It always stings me a little to pay mucho $$ for a salon haircut so after reading the good reviews on Unilocal I decided to give this place a try. There were two guys waiting ahead of me, one guy in the chair and another who walked in after me. Violet knew all the other guys who were there and greeted them by name; it was obvious that she has a lot of regulars. Myself having never gone there it was a bit awkward as she laughed and joked with the guys and seemed a little less friendly with me. The haircut itself was fine but when she was done she told me she was busy and left me to dry my own hair. I was also left picking off my long cut pieces of hair off my face and shoulders as I left. Not a bad place for a cut I guess, but maybe I’ll just save up for the extra comforts of a salon.

Called to ask if it was busy and the lady who answered the phone was extremely rude. So much attitude… even hung up on me! Not going to ever go there, despite the good reviews on here.

I got recommended by a friend for piercings. $ 7 per piercing which is very cheap! I made my first visit yesterday for cartilage piercings. Aim was good, very happy with the results and service. Heading back for more piercings tomorrow!

My girlfriend got her cut done here. The service was friendly, her hair still looks fantastic after a week, and it was quick and incredibly price. In her words, «it was the best haircut I ever had!»

The owner did a great job cutting my son’s hair. She was super quick. It helped that my son (2.5years old) at very still. Would definitely go there again.

I’ve been coming to Ultra Hair to get my hair cut by Vi for probably well over 8 years. She is consistent, friendly, and if you call before coming in, she can tell you exactly how long the wait will be and when you should come in.
For $ 19 it’s well worth it to come here.
I’ve recently moved to Victoria but I won’t go anywhere else to get my hair done.

I’ve been seeing Vi for over 10 years now. She’s very consistent in her cut & always does a great job. She talks a lot about her family & experiences so the sessions are never boring. The haircuts are always fast, neat, & a great bargain. A central location at Main & 41^st makes it very central from the East & West side.

This place is owned by a Vietnamese lady named Vai (Violet) and has been in business for over 20 years. It was recommended to me by a coworker and after going to see her I will definitely be back!
The owner is a nice lady who greets you as soon as you walk through the door. My wait time was about 10 minutes (on a Sat morning) and the haircut itself was great.
Vai is very competent barber and did a great job paying attention to the little details. She is quite chatty and tries to engage you in a lot of small talk. By the end of the haircut I already knew more about her than my previous barber of two years.
At the end she even washed and gelled my hair for me before sending me on my way — for a cool $ 15. Great bargain, will be back again.
