I am saddened that there has to be another big-company fast food place in the neighbourhood. It’s unhealthy food, with no local character. Prices are low, but sadly this attracts children, which encourages bad lifestyle habits in them. It also attracts street people, which continues their cycle of poverty and poor health. I encourage you to patronize a small local business instead of this chain.

A corner Timmy’s. This Timmy’s is quite big. Like all other Tim Hortons it has coffee, donuts, soup and sandwiches. Nothing special in my mind. But this location has Cold Stone Creamery inside. The other location that has Cold Stone Creamery is downtown, that I know of. Well nothing too special here. Also there are free parking here around the hood.

Advantages 1) Really nice place to read a book. 2) Nice service 3) Great location, bus stop right around the corner Disadvantages 1) By the evening, there is no pastry left 2) Too much of homeless people that ruin an atmosphere 3) Men’s washroom is not working 4) wifi is too slow

This is the worst coffee shop in Point Grey. They screw everything up and the service is terrible because I have to remind them constantly about my order. When my food is ready(15 – 20 minutes) they only have about 75−80% of the meal completed and they have run out of the rest.

I’ve given this place a pass far too long. They screw up almost every food order I’ve made there but today was the last straw. I ordered a grilled breakfast wrap combo(with hash browns). After 10 minutes or so they said the grilled wrap was ready but the hash browns would take another few minutes. After about 5mins. I asked to see if it was done. They said they didn’t have any hash browns! So now my wrap was cold and I had to get to work so I couldn’t wait for them to make another one. Why did they make me wait for hash browns when they didn’t even have any? Then to top it off they gave me a refund for the hash browns but not the cold wrap.

I’m not someone who would ever write anything negative about anyone or anything but this deserves and exception. Today I went to order breakfast for two. Two double doubles and two egg white Turkey breakfast sandwiches with hash browns and two yogurt parfaits because I’m going to the gym tonight. First of all, the guy didn’t know what a double double was??? Is that not the first line of training? I’m not blaming him for not knowing but someone needs to teach a kid these things before putting him on the early shift. Second, I’m on the way to work and realize that both the breakfast sandwiches had No turkey in the sandwich. Half my sandwich was missing. Where did it go? And same deal for my boyfriend. Third, we ordered yogurt parfaits and asked for two vanilla. We saw two vanillas and two strawberry. They told us that there were no vanillas left… I see the two vanillas!!! Okay fine, I’ll settle for strawberry because I’m not going to get in a hissy at 6:30am(I will at 9:30 at night). Fourth, they didn’t make this a combo. We were charged for each item individually. We had enough of the awkward at this point and I felt bad for the non-caffeinated bros behind us so I dropped it and just got myself out of there… I had to get to work and this was taking forever. I’m not impressed and quite sad that I’m now not trusting of my neighborhood Tim Hortons. Sad.

This Tim Hortons was going to get a 1 out of 5 review but I have seen some improvements over the past few weeks. I had to send some complaints to Head Office but it seemed to work. The challenge was the continuous mistakes made with sandwich orders by certain staff members. But on top of that there was a complete inability by the same members to use the words, «I’m sorry.» At one point four orders were messed up. So I did have enough and complained. They called and said they would take my situation seriously and look into it. I’m starting to hear the words, «I’m sorry». However I’m still seeing a mess-up or two every time I’m in the store. But at least they are apologizing. It seems they have shifted the schedules of the staff around a bit but that hasn’t really stopped the overall challenges I’ve seen in this place. But since the mistakes have lessened and the staff are starting to apologize when they make a mistake, this Tim’s gets a 3⁄5. If they become as remarkable as the Tim’s on Granville, I’ll definitely update. Those people are like ninjas. The atmosphere is very clean and the quality of the food is very good. There is slight inconsistency on how to make a wrap. That’s a bit annoying. But as far as Tim’s goes, this one went from not so good to average. I want to note that some staff in there are fantastic. Especially the girl from perhaps Poland or Russia? I probably have that wrong. And there is a taller, thin gentleman who is always ‘on the ball’. So if you see either of them, you’re in good company.

Fried dough of the North, Coffee of Note, Ice Cream of Fatness. The donuts OK — the cruller on this trip did not impress. Quite simply, they tasted stale. Ain’t enough calories in my life for stale fried dough straight out the case — ’nuff said. The caramel apple danish… very good, especially with coffee! The other raised donuts were deemed«okay».( ) The coffee A friend of mine lives in Hamilton, Ontario and would frequently message about going to Timmy’s for her double-double. Wha? I, ignorant of Canadian culture, would wonder what in the world she was talking about. She clued me in… and I eventually became an extra large triple-double. I love Timmy’s coffee. I wish they had stores in the US! The ice cream Apparently this combo is unusual to others as it is to me: this is a combo Timmy’s and Cold Stone. My kids liked their ice cream(we’ve never had anything«bad» at a Cold Stone, everything’s so standardized), but they had one very serious note — the sizes are smaller than in the US. They ordered«love its» and they are US «like it» size. Worth noting if you are looking for 2,000 calories and only get 1,200. HA! The shop itself has several tables and counter space, and could fit about 15 – 20 people easily and was very clean on our stop. 18⁄30

The very generous rating, and probably not related to Timmy’s— it’s the only Vancouver location that has Cold Stone Creamery! I really do think they’re more generous w/the portions, esp. if you ask nicely like me. extra caramel & nuts when I order the Coffee’s Delight 1 litre ice cream, i take it to go, obviously! but i’ve eaten half one time, no wonder i didnt’ feel too good… Lots of street parking, and it’s open 24 hours surprisingly… and much less rowdier than the DT or Metrotown one lol. Hey, it’s Point Grey, what do you expect? ;)

To simply put it, I’m a Tim Hortons person, just because of their French Vanilla and blueberry bagels. Only if they stop using icing-sugar with Timbits. The great thing about this particular place is, they also serve Cold Stone ice cream, the first place in Vancouver city to do so. Looking forward to some branch in downtown following their suit.
