I was recommended here by another Unilocal in the past month. This place is owned by Cheesecakes etc., therefore, if the menu and taste seems familiar it’s ’cause it’s meant to be. I find it easier to come here since it’s more accessible on concert nights than the other location across the bridge. There is ample seating. Warning that this place can get busy on weekends. I’ve never had to wait more than 3 minutes thankfully. The service is quick. It’s mostly just pre-made cheesecakes on the menu. The cheesecake was creamy, moist and cooked right all the way through. I have been having a lot of dry cheesecake lately, therefore, having something done right was very appreciated. I ate my slice a little too fast.

Owned by the same people of Cheesecake Etc. fame, Tigers accommodates larger groups with its larger size and tables. It keeps a bit of the jazzy feel of its sister café next door, but opts for a more flamboyant, African-safari theme. Can’t say I’m too crazy about it, but it’s the cheesecake that’s the main point here, I guess. Personally, I haven’t had cheesecake this good in a long time. We all had the cheesecake with strawberries, and the texture was perfect. And it’s hard for a cheesecake to achieve that. The cake was creamy and velvety — not hard like it was still frozen, and not too soft that it crumbled and melted. It was like Goldilocks losing her cheesecake virginity. I was sad to see that they didn’t add a dusting of graham cracker crumbs on the side though. That would have been the cherry on top, so to speak. To make up for it though, they give you lots of strawberries. My aunt wasn’t so crazy about their almond steamed milk, remarking it had the after-taste of cough syrup. I thought it was alright though; I finished mine at least. Perhaps they put too much nutmeg in it? It’s a good alternative to Cheesecake Etc. if you can’t find a spot. They’re open late, which is great for those evening sweet cravings. Be sure to bring cash.
