I tried sandwiches here. Good quality, nothing special. Price is a bit higher than other sandwich places in the hood. Open, spacious and neat. I liked it cause the lady who made my sandwich, didn’t work on the cash till. Usually that is rare in most sandwich places

We found this place by accident, sitting outside was a good choice, little noisy but day was nice so we really enjoyed the sun. I had the edge salad, it was amazing! One of the best salads I’ve had lately. My husband had a sandwich and we shared, the meat was to my taste under seasoned but ok overall, but the salad stole the show. I will definitely come back!

Writing this as I sit here post meal. My meal of eggs benny was disappointing, plain, dry and tasteless. I totally don’t agree with the reviews I’ve read on here. I didn’t eat most of my meal. Their biscuit was so dry, the potatoes tasted off and the hollandaise tasteless. The other thing that was nasty was the overwhelming taste of bleach in my water. Not good.

Not sure why this place is rated 4⁄5 stars… the food was below average and really nothing special at all. Also the price is high for what you get in terms of quality and quantity. Standard breakfast and lunch food but I found the portions on the small side. We ordered a coffee, Tex mex scramble and the Monterey beef burger with fries. Just a heads up, the food on the featured menu is pre-made so you can’t make any changes to it. I wanted the modern club on gluten free bread but that was not possible bc all the sandwiches are pre-made and the chef was not able to make another even though we were the only customers in the café at the time… The gluten free options is not really suitable for any of their burgers, the patty was quite small but what was more surprising was how much smaller the gluten free bread was that I was suppose to use to hold the sandwich together… fries were clearly just frozen and dropped in the fryer and then seasoned with way too much pepper. The scramble was disappointment, the plate was mostly bread and potatoes, the portion of scramble was half the size of the potatoes… we ordered the scramble for the eggs… not a massive pile of potatoes. The eggs were cooked well but there was no jalapeño and the waitress forgot to bring the salsa until half way through the meal. Overall disappointing especially after reading reviews that this place was 4⁄5 stars. Also service was on the slow side, three servers and we were the one of two tables after we ordered. You have to flag them down for water and coffee. Don’t expect your coffee cup to be refilled in a timely manner if you don’t flag them down. Can’t imagine how slow service would be if the place was full…

Breakfast only The Edge is turning into one of my default breakfast meeting places. The menu has the usual suspects all done well and very reasonably priced. Their toast oddly is exceptional. The room is big and bright. The service is where Edge really stands out. Always pleasant. Always cheerful. Always attentive. Just the right type of service at 730AM when you’re coffee deprived.

I was introduced to this place when there was a free half sandwich + soup deal on the Belly app. The selection of sandwiches are diverse, and between the 2 – 3 soups of the day you can definitely find one that suits you. They also offer other items ranging from muffins to burgers, but the sandwiches specifically were showcased nicely in the window, so we have stuck to those in returning trips. The staff are friendly, and the place is clean. I guess sometimes service is a little slow, but since we’ve committed to sitting down, we weren’t in a huge rush anyway. Overall a solid place for a casual lunch.

I got eggs benedict and my hubby got french toast. Both were so good. We really liked the food. Parking is hard to find around this area though. But we were lucky that we found a spot right away. Definitely a place to go for us from now. Thank you!

Situated just a short block off W Broadway and Cambie, this is a great little spot for breakfast. Wife and I visited in September ’15 having found it on Unilocal!and went back again the following day. Nothing fancy, just good, well cooked and presented food and drink. I went for the classic breakfast with sausage the first day and bacon the second. Both were excellent, though the high point was undoubtedly the hash browns, which are quite outstanding. Wife went for the oatmeal and loved it. Coffee and tea also up to the mark. Price very reasonable.

The food is tasty, the coffee is a really fresh and smooth, but it’s the friendly environment that makes me keep coming back.

Went for Saturday breakfast and had no trouble getting a table outside at 11am. Eggs were so fresh and almost orange in colour. Amazing cranberry sourdough toast.

Came for breakfast; eggs, sausages, pan fries & toast. The food was fresh & tasted good, the staff were friendly & the price was fair. I’ll definitely come again if in the area.

My friend J and I found this place by accident. Actually we were on our way to do some errands in the afternoon and we took a wrong turn to try and find a shortcut in the rain to where we really wanted to go and ended up here. Weirdly I have walked by in the area a few times, however, never actually stopped by here until today. For starters they made me a wicked London Fog. Why is it so wicked you ask? They actually did not burn the almond milk. I ordered a salmon bowl and J ordered a lentil soup, however, 15 minutes later they informed us that they forgot to enter it into their system which is fine… sort of. Shit happens. They apologized. I get mistakes happen and even though we were on a time crunch as it was a working day for one of us, time was of the essence. What bothers me in general is when a mistake is done and they either don’t own up to it or apologies. Since they did, I am not going to knock marks off. They also compensated by offering J a drink on the house and reduced our bill by 50% so we’re all good. My lunch was nice and healthy, a good portion of fish, rice and salad made well.

I can’t believe I haven’t reviewed them yet. Just took an old friend here for brunch. This place is cozy, the food is excellent as well as the service. They also have a fantastic private catering service that is simply outstanding. As a former event planner, I have worked with many companies over the years, but none compare with the level of service, food quality and price point. Owner Judy Reeves understands and appreciates that it’s not about food consumption but the whole experience. It’s also why she continues to personally oversee many of their events and clients. The attention to detail and the extent they will go to impress will blow your mind. I have been going to Judy and her team for years for my catering needs and refer them regularly. You will too once you’ve had the distinct pleasure of experiencing an EdgeCeptional Catering event.

I love this place for brunch. It was a fairly wide variety to choose from, albeit a bit salty(however that’s really the best when hungover after all). At the same time, it is NOT greasy, so it doesn’t make you feel sick after it all. Overall clean, friendly staff, relatively quick service without it being rushed. I’ve never had to wait much at this place, even with pretty large groups(8+). They operate some sort of catering business in the second half of the shop so I presume a lot of orders go through there.

Nothing too special, nothing too bad. A nice experience when I was really needing some food(almost hangry). The server was super pleasant… we had coffee, wife had a bowl of chowder, and I had one of the panino’s of the day. Wife’s ‘bowl’ of soup was simply HUGE! She couldn’t finish it all… just a huge huge amount of soup. She was pretty good with it(found it a bit thin, but lots of good stuff in it). My choice of panino was turkey, capicolo, and provolone with olives… quite tasty… had a salad on the side. Wouldn’t run back again quick… but if I was in the neighbourhood and hungry, I wouldn’t hesitate to stop by again.

I went here for brunch today and really enjoyed the food. It was quiet when I arrived around 11 but quickly filled up after that. The service could have been a little more attentive but we can put that down to the place getting busy. I got the pulled pork benny and it was outstanding, delicious. Totally recommend it!

It located on Yukon St and ½ block up to Broadway. The Edge is good for to go coffee and breakfast/brunch food as well as dine-in. My hubby and I had brunch at the Edge today, the place has a nice warm feeling and the server was friendly. I loved the classic breakfast that served with grain toast and omega 3 eggs and the benny was tasty too. We definitely will return for breakfast soon.

Hunger and the morning came about, and what brought me here was the trusty Entertainment Book, as I have walked by here, but when your in need of food of the breakfast variety, where do you go, well we came here, and it was pretty good. There are many places for breakfast in Vancouver, what makes this one stand out is that they have a pretty nice patio that is along Yukon Street. We came in to this place, and you think first that it seems cafeteria style, do I order first, pay then go to my table? No, actually, even though it looks cafeteria style, you come in, and you then find a seat and then they come to you with water’s, a menu, and if your outside, you may find a blanket to use if you find it a bit chilly. We had an order of their eggs benedict, and my brother went for the ‘classic’ breakfast, with 3 eggs, some bacon and toast. I have to say that the hashbrowns they serve with their breakfast are really memorable, cooked just right with a bit of searing on each end of each potato piece, mixed with some peppers, the taste is just right. They made my benedict right to order, not overly cooked, and very plump, and overflowing with egg yolk. Service was attentive, and it was just an overall good breakfast meal, no lineups, no headaches, and a good assortment of items on their menu that is not just breakfast, but other things. Parking can be a bit of a problem in this area, as there is meter parking, so be prepared to shell out(as you know city hall is just around the corner, and the meter-maids here are fast!) or you can park a few blocks away and find some free parking. If your looking for a place for a good group of 4, or maybe more, this maybe your place too, as they have a good number of seats. The plate sizes were nice, not too big, but just enough, a place that I would happily return if I’m seeking breakfast food!
