Came into the mall looking for late night munchies(around 9:30pm.) To my relief this place was open. Initially I thought this place was your typical Chinese mall take out restaurant until I looked up and checked into Unilocal. The lady was nice enough. It seems like a small family run joint. Ordered the sweet and sour pork, mixed vegetables and vegetables and chicken all on rice. It’s nothing spectacular but will fill you up on the cheap. Not bad for $ 5.

Quality is ok. Quantity is impressive. Had the prawn pad Thai; service QA very friendly. It was a tasty meal with lot of veggies and prawns. I think it was good value for the price.

One way to think about this is that I was willing to buy a buddy dinner there, just to enjoy the look on his face when he ate the food. I was clear about what to expect however, so he didn’t take me up on it. Yes, this is a food court place, so you wouldn’t expect foodie heaven. Just cheap eats & I love Thai food. That’s why, after I had a bad memory of it once, I gave it another try 3 months later, after I had forgotten the details of my first encounter. No, it couldn’t have been that bad. The meat was so bad on my beef — bad quality, not just bad cooking — that I gave up on it halfway. While I like good food, I am also fairly unfussy and rarely skip finishing my plate. This place is easily in the bottom 3 restaurants I have seen in Vancouver.

Ended up here while restaurant hunting at Tinseltown. Looked like your regular takeout place, so what can go wrong, right? The service was fine. However, this is seriously some of the worst mall food I have ever had. Prices were reasonable, at $ 5 for 1 item + rice, and under $ 7 for 3 items. The Pad Thai is something to avoid like the plague. I can’t even begin to describe how horrendous this was. Give it a try if you dare, but this is probably the worst I’ve ever had in my life. The curry was noticeably diluted. I wouldn’t say it was tasteless, but it is nowhere as strong as other places. The only item they got right was the sweet and sour pork. But by «getting it right» I really mean«tastes like any other place». I asked the cook, and he said they were Chinese, not Thai. This may explain the crappy food. Bottom line: nice people, but don’t come here for the Pad Thai. They do have plain rice as an alternative to the pad thai. I’d go for that one instead.
