We recently bought a new 4KTV from the Sony Store at this downtown location. The sales service was good but you can tell they are definitely on commission. When you spend almost $ 2000 — even on sale though I expect better service. First of all, they made an error on the price of the TV, which we only noticed when we got home and checked the price online. It was easily corrected, but it was a faux-pas and made us wonder if it was a legitimate mistake. The TV we picked was not on display so it was not possible for us to know the price off hand. Please know the price of your products. The second issue is that we asked to have the TV fitted on the wall and Sony informed us that they provided that service. Sounded great and easy… Not so much. Before they could fit it though, we had to pay for a visit by their«specialist» to ensure it could be done. At a cost of $ 100! We knew it could be done because our neighbours have the TV fitted exactly at the same spot but we went along with because it is Sony and we trusted them and we thought they would provide good service. However their fitting service was already well over the prices of other recognized TV fitters in town. The«specialist» showed up, and fed us a whole lot of crap about how we would have to pay extra to have an electrician to come in, and check this and that, and cut the wall, and there would be extra cost for this and that, and in the end he could not even give us a price. We were shocked. Was that worth $ 100? Absolutely not! We were given assurance from Sony that they had professionals fitting TVs, and they send some guy who is not even qualified to fit TVs on the wall, because he and his partners are not electricians and he did not want to risk it. Was it a joke? We then told Sony Store that we would not go ahead with their service and felt we were cheated of $ 100 which we would like to get back because they completely wasted our time. To add insult to injury, the manager declined to refund the $ 100 because he said we were provided with the visit and it was our choice to not go with the service. Or something to that effect because the manager never bothered to speak to us and only spoke to the sales guy. In the end we went with a professional company in Vancouver that specializes in fitting TVs, cables, alarms etc… and they did an awesome job. The TV is great, but Sony, I will think twice before going back to your store with your terrible customer service, let alone recommending you.

pretty impressed with the service with Milad===he knew his stuff on Ultrabooks, esp. the display resolution, weight, and battery life. Did comparisons with 3 models I’m considering as I need to upgrade my PC, despite me still adoring my MacAir. Not much wheeling and dealing here, as prices are virtually identical but the return’s policy better @ retail level. Imagine returning the laptop online, and the hassle of going to the postal office. a well-lit store, quite spacious. Even a 4K tv 65-inch very tempting at $ 4,299 as regular price $ 6500. Stay tune(literally) :)

The staff at the Sony Store was very helpful when I came in. Not only did they help me find what I was looking for(a camera accessory), they let me try it out with one of their display cameras to make sure it worked the way I thought it would. No hassle, no pressure, just good service.

I have been coming to this store for years, repairs, purchases… etc. The one thing that keeps me coming back? Is the Customer Service, I will always be willing to buy Sony products… and can always rely on their Customer Service. It was extremely busy at the time I went into the Sony Store and the customer service representative(I think it was the store manager) gave me his full and undivided attention to help me out with my computer issue. He didn’t pass me off to another representative but decided to tackle this problem step by step with me. He asked all the right questions and took me through the entire process by going above and beyond. Can’t say enough good things about Sony and this particular store.
