Great drinks and food! Came here for some appys and drinks. Great Pimms and on the happy hour menu. Ordered house fries yummmm! Mini burgers crab and veggie, I loved the crab! And the mac and cheese. Overall food was great. Great atmosphere and service. We didn’t really plan on coming for happy hour but glad we did, good prices too.

A great little spot. Its perfect if you are in Gastown and want to grab a drink or a quick bite. Service was a little slow but the food came out really fast so it made up for it. Everything we ordered tasted great. Would for sure go again.

I went solo for my first time. Staff were super friendly, they had a lot of different beers, and the classic(beef) mini burgers were maybe the best beef sliders I’ve had. I would definitely recommend this place!

Six Acres is a quaint spot for some delicious beer and tasty food. The art and decór are quite stunning, and this restaurant probably has one of the most beautiful patios in Gastown, Vancouver, with cobblestone to rest your feet upon and twinkling lights draped above your head to sit underneath and bask in the beauty of. My friend Chlöe and I nibbled on some delicious mac n’ cheese and enjoyed some classic cocktails that were made to precision. Whether you’re sitting upstairs in the rustic feel of Six Acres or lounging and people watching on the patio, this spot is not one to ignore. And not easy to either! It is very accessible and easy to find. Six Acres wins for being a Vancouver go-to spot.

We stayed in an airbnb up the street and were able to walk over one evening, and I am so glad we did! We just ordered the poutine and drinks, but it was fantastic. I especially loved the added shallots on the poutine. We enjoyed sitting on the patio and found the menu covers unique and cute. We’d definitely return here!

Had a killer atmosphere, welcoming and personable staff, delicious bison steak salad that will make you wanna kiss the cook, and a one of a kind house made ginger beer. Gotta try if you’re in Gastown.

Good beer selection, good food I was there with 3 other people on the weekend, and we were really impressed with 6 acres. The server was super nice, and we were very happy with their food/beer selection. It is not the biggest selection, but everything was a hit(food wise). We shared 5 items off their menu, and we each had a beer, the bill worked out to be under $ 30 each! Super impressed! This kind of deal almost doesn’t exist in Gastown!

Came back for happy hour, when they have a small selection of $ 4.50 beer and cocktails as well as $ 6.50 wine. Thanks to the recommendation of our friendly server I discovered the Hoyne Off the Grid Red Lager, which is now one of my new favourites! Tried the crab cake mini burgers and poutine. Burgers were ok but poutine was amazing, with a complex gravy and tons of cheese curds, my table agreed it was the best poutine we had tried in Vancouver!

Awesome staff, fast, and very friendly. Perfect Kid friendly place to have some great food and beers. This place has the best location in gas town. It’s on the corner with an amazing view.

It had been a couple years since I was here last, but it was just as satisfying. I’m glad I returned. What drew a friend & I in was the location and an early happy hour. It was after 2pm, but we saw that they offer happy hour 11:30−6pm every day. Not a lot of places do that. They have over 43 types of beer, some bottled/some on tap, and offer a couple at a nice price of $ 4.50 for happy hour. They also have a good selection of wine, cocktails, whisky and other spirits. As for food, it was very reasonably priced for happy hour & I liked the selection. We ended up sharing the crab sliders with salad. Good flavor and the right texture. I also like the small room with two floors to make for a more cozy setting. I will return.

Came here last week for an early dinner during happy hour. I ordered a Pimms and the barley risotto. The Pimms was delicious and refreshing and can’t complain since it’s one of the happy hour specials! The barley risotto unfortunately was forgettable. I don’t usually eat risotto and maybe now I remember why. I felt this meal was rather mushy and bland. Overall however, I had a pleasant experience. Service was great, food and drinks came out in a reasonable time, drink was great, food not so much. Decent good for a quick bite/drinks during downtime, I would be rather cautious if there are large groups. I would give the place 3.5 if I could, but guess I will round it up to a 4!

Tight seating space, creaky floors, strange washrooms. Slow to get seated, but attentive(albeit a bit pushy) service. Great portion sizes, flavourful food, good presentation, fair prices.

Cozy little old café which reminds me of the European cafes in the middle of cities such as Antwerp and Amsterdam… Old brick walls and many vintage décor. Casual and relaxed atmosphere with delicious platters. We had the olive bowl and the 2 sausages platter. Great yet modest selection of Belgian beers as well. I’d highly recommend it for a late night drink…

I’ve always wanted to try Six Acres, but was never in the area or it didn’t work out. Finally my friends and I were wandering around Gastown, we decided to stop in for some drinks. It was only 5:30PM so there were plenty of seats inside. The patio was unfortunately full as it’s quite small. The drinks are a bargain especially the Whiskey, which was anywhere from 25−35% less than other places downtown. They have a good range of Whiskey on the menu, but they were out of the Tyrconnell and apparently it wasn’t available when my friend tried to order it 2 weeks ago too. We ordered the poutine, which had red onions on top and instead of cheese curds, it was a softer type of cheese. The gravy was really good and even though the cheese wasn’t curds, I still liked it.

We were lucky to snag a seat at this popular bar/restaurant in Gastown. The tap list is awesome, as it only serves Canadian beers, which is exactly what I wanted to drink. We had some bar snacks, mussels and poutine. The mussels were smaller than what we would’ve preferred, but the poutine was awesome. I know British Columbia isn’t exactly known for its poutine as its French brother, but it was good. We sat on the upper level deck, which looked down at the dining space below and outside to the front patio. The place was filled with a younger crowd. Because the place was so busy, the service was pretty slow. We had to wave down our waiter a few times, to get refills on water, order more drinks and cash out. I give this place a 3.5 stars.

This place is still one of my favourite pubs to drop in on. Loads of beer selection, delicious food items, and great vibe. With the large windows and historic gastown location, you are treated with a beautiful sight as you throw back a few. Try the sausage plate. Very tasty and a perfect share plate!

Lovely beer pub in Gastown. This was really my only exposure to the Williamsburg of Vancouver(or whatever). It was about 90% women in here, and given the chill and mildly precious nature of the joint, I guess it makes sense. I came here to catch up with a buddy and we waited less than 5 minutes on Friday night, and got a nice round wooden table to boot(I kind of felt bad for hogging it). The beers were great, with a nice balance of Belgian-style Canadian ales, European brews, and hoppier Northwest varieties. For food, I got the Chicken & Mash: pan roasted chicken, white bean mash, green beans, tomatoes, jus. Kind of wish I’d tried the poutine here(no poutine all trip!), but so it goes. The food was tasty, but don’t come too hungry – the portions are small to medium. Very nice choice for hanging with friends, though I suppose it would do for a date, too.

My friend took me here last night and I really liked it. Our waiter was pretty great. The beer selection is pretty good. I have a new favorite beer… Hoyne Pilsner! It was reccomended by the waiter after I told him what types of beers were my preference. Great choice! The food was really good. We ordered salt and pepper wings, and poutine. I was tempted to order dessert but after the food and 5 beers I was full. The popcorn my friend ordered was stale so I wouldn’t recommend that. I love the view from the upstairs seating… really nice. It’s a cozy environment with candle lighting which I like. Definitely try this joint out. I am definitely going back, especially to order a cherry beer. Yum!

For anyone that grew up on countryside food you’ll recognise much of the Six Acres menu — sausages, mash, brussels sprouts, beats, wings, barley, cheese etc, but with a hipster twist. The food is good. Homely, but portioned out in a way to encourage tapas eating rather than solo large plates(although if you went true tapas here you’d run up a decent bill). The building is a delight for Vancouver. Very old(the oldest brick building in Vancouver so they say) and narrow with low ceilings upstairs. Giving it a distinctly European vibe. There’s an extensive drinks menu on draught and even more by the bottle. Fun good food. Just keep an eye on that tab if you’re ordering a lot of plates!
