For a neighborhood location in Dunbar, I’m impressed with 2 things: open til midnight and, have a real ice cream section LOL. washroom by the pharmacy, far left corner :) It is indeed tightly packed here, not much open space. Own parking lot.(compared to Burnaby).

I’ve had mixed experiences at the pharmacy here. There’s one female pharmacist here, Rose who’s kind of snotty and not very helpful. I’ve come here lots before and have gotten very helpful information from friendly and helpful pharmacy staff, but Rose in particular is definitely not a help.

My husband was in a rush and picked up some formula for our son and when he got home I was horrified to see that it had expired Dec 82012. What if I didn’t notice and I actually have this to my 2 month old. Sooo disappointed.

This Shoppers is okay only if you need a drugstore and you happen to be in the area. The lines are usually quite short, mid-afternoon at least. But parking is always a challenge. I am not sure if they monitor the lot(but I am sure that they will now since I gave away the secret) or if there are just too many people shopping there, but it’s almost impossible to find a spot. But there it is, when you are in a bind. The prices seem pricier. The make-up counter is always empty, but the«girls» who work there are helpful. Overall, it’s another Shoppers; nothing more and nothing less. One cool note: There is still a phone booth in the parking lot. Maybe, by the time you read this it will have been removed. But seriously, when was the last time you found a real«phone booth» in Vancouver? And, no, I didn’t try the phone. I mean, it’s not 1998.

This is a rating for the cosmetic’s department. I was looking for a particular line of skincare products that the store carried. The 2 beauty advisors are not very attentive. I had walk up to them to ask for assistance. One of them started to help me out and then left to see about some samples for the out of stock item I wanted and never returned. Waited and waited. Fed up I went to seek her out. Asked her about the item said they been out of it for awhile. Did not bother to call another store if it was in stock. Both plain rude and poor customer service. Never shopping in that cosmetic department ever. Kerrisdale or Cambie are way helpful.

This location of Shoppers has been around for decades. It’s decent, but definitely dated. Parking is available directly S, in a small private lot. Unfortunately this lot is barely enough for the amount of traffic. I’ve had to park on the street more than once. The layout is a bit strange after the wave of renovations. You’re basically forced to walk through a bit of the cosmetics area the instant you step through the door. The other complaint is that this location is noticeably smaller than other ones. As a result, I only go here as a last resort. The stuff is definitely pricier than what you’d find at the mall, but this is what you get for convenience. There is a Post Office here, which is nice for sending/picking up packages. The staff are nice overall, but you can still tell they’re unionized government workers at the end of the day. In other words, they really don’t like going out of their way to help you.
