This place is ok in a pinch if I cannot get to my regular nail wholesale supply store. Good selection of products but vastly overpriced(given the location it’s understandable) they want to cater to the tourist trade with money, but for locals it’s too high priced to be a valuable source of beauty supplies. I was coming here because dermalogica was my skin care of choice, but I wasn’t impressed with the dermalogica product line nor the ability of the staff to understand what my skin care need was. I felt like they pushed it onto me without knowing what problem I have.

Love The Luxury Skin Care Selection! My mom and I have been shopping at Shifeon for over 8 years now, Shifeon is definitely a one of the best independent perfumery /professional skin care retailer that I can find locally, the fact that they carry so many quality beautiful skincare lines is like a candy store for children, everytime I visit there are always new and advanced skincare products there.(Clearly I am a skincare junkie!) The professional skincare products which Shifeon carries are definitely not the most inexpensive but it is definitely worth it(My mom is turning 70 and everyone thinks that she is in her late 40s, she has zero wrinkles, ZERO wrinkles she has never had any plastic surgery too!, I used to have a lot of deep wrinkles on my forehead, like I mean deep… but after I started using skincare which Fiona had introduced me, my wrinkle reduced 50%! And my dull skin regain its«shine» or «luminosity» whatever u call it: p Its a dramatic change for me and I am still thankful about it), what brings me back to Shifeon aside from their great customer service is the fact that they offer $ 10 coupons every time I spend $ 50. so I walk out with at least $ 40 coupons every time I shop there! I always accumulate my coupons to $ 200+ so I feel like I have a shopping spree when I just wanna spend nothing that day! It certainly saves me a lot of money, on top of that, they always sample me, whether I buy or I don’t! Plus the gifts with purchases and the goodies that I get its amazing! I honestly love the travel sizes! My mom and I used to buy Guerlain, Orlane and Shiseido elsewhere and no where else in Vancouver can offer the gifts which department stores or shoppers offers, great value and still offers us a rebate everytime we go there! My mom and I have now discovered many effective anti-aging products from professional lines such as Eminence, Valmont, Juvena, La Colline, Darphin, Cellcosmet, Babor, Dermalogica and much more. I can’t name them all! These products are so amazing every time I buy something home its like a new toy that I have and I can see my skin condition improving when I use these products. Over the years I have had epics of skin trouble after coming back from a trip or after a tax season etc, but thankfully everytime they solve my problems for me! I also love the fact that they call me every time there is a promotion, feels great to be a VIP! Several times a year, I am eligible for free facial treatments and event access etc! Its relaxing every time I get a free facial there =P ! Shifeon is definitely a place I recommend my friends for your skincare, if you do care about your skin. You will call me crazy for the time I spend caring for my skin and I guess its an Asian thing which my mom taught me since I was young, a women should love herself and take care of herself as no one else will know how to love you more then yourself! P.S before posting my comment I also read some other reviews from others and some saids Shifeon jacks up their price so I did my research(haha to make sure I give a fair review and not expressing what I feel and enjoy doing but being carefully cautious as a smart shopper) and I find that their prices are the same as other retailers online(at least for the products that I am buying), therefore to be fair I’d say that its the same prices which they offer. The only one thing I’d ask Shifeon to change is … play better music in store… lolol, it does affect one’s shopping experience!

Pushy, unhelpful staff who jump on you immediately yet aren’t able to answer questions. I saw a box of sample sizes of a mascara that I wanted to try out that were labelled«Sample only not for resale»; when I asked about taking a sample I was told they were $ 5 each. Huh? Unfortunately whoever is running this place needs to realize they are in Canada, not Asia, and the pushy asian style of service(being followed around and pressured by salespeople who seem to be paid on commission). This place could take some lessons from Sephora!

Lots of cosmetic items to chose from but I mainly focused on the Hello Kitty items scattered around the store. There were special Hello Kitty items from Asia such as Ki-la-ra Hello Kitty ballet flats and ramen bowls. You’ll find a variety of Hello Kitty themed items like picture frames, keychains, purses, q-tips, ramen bowls, music boxes and more. Many of the items are imported at a limited quantity so you’ll feel special with whatever you end up buying.

The new store location is so nice, they have everything you you are looking for, prices are about right and there is always promos and or in store specials, I have been shopping at this store for years and if you’re in there computer database you will always get extra discount. Will be going back anytime I need a gift or spa related product.

You people are so annoying following me around. Please give me some bubble space. Over priced but then trick people to think they are getting a discount with over $ 50 get $ 10 off. This place jacks up all their prices. Its not really a deal. Also it would be nice if someone could actually consult me with the product you are pushing down my throat. Its to bad because they do have some pretty good stuff. But a lot of it look like asian junk from the night market. Will not be returning.

I had a couple skincare lines recommended to me by an in-the-know friend, so we went to Shifeon tonight so that I could do some looking and pick up something new to try. I’d give four stars for the products available. There are a number of brands, with a lot of good options available. It’s a shame all of it is so expensive but I guess on some level it’s too be expected with certain lines. What brought it down to three stars was our mixed impression of the service. The saleswoman seemed very clearly to know her products and was good about asking about my skin-type and what problems I have most frequently. She managed to point out a number of items to choose between and pulled out testers for me. The only problem was we couldn’t get her to go away. After talking to her a bit about Eminence, my friend politely excused us by telling her we were going to look around on our own a bit more. At that point I’d found a cleanser and toner, and just wanted to look at options for moisturizer and eye creams. She went off, and we moved on to another brand, and as soon as I picked up a product, there she was again. This happened twice. I finally settled on three products and decided to leave the eye cream behind for now — she continued to try to talk me into it, including bringing up free gifts offered for making two Yon-ka purchases, and seemed really disappointed when I told her I was going to hold off. Then she insisted I fill out their customer information form, which I did since it can’t really hurt too much — but still it’s just a matter of asking if I’m okay with it. Overall I like the product selection and the store itself. It was just exhausting to not get any chance to really consider what I wanted. I’m glad I went in with some items in mind or I probably would have left.

Shifeon has a new shop! No longer a dingy little shop wedged in a crack, but a very shiny new shop! It’s still on Robson, between Jervis and Bute. This is where I come for new collection nail polish. They have every possible shade of OPI available! The collections are so quick to update that I can always find the newest collections of OPI there(in stores) before anywhere else. They carry new collections in all the other brands too. Pretty much if you can’t find the nail polish/product you want at your local drug store, you can almost definitely find it here! Buy more, and the price comes down per bottle. It starts off at just under $ 10. With each extra bottle you buy, the price comes down by a $ 1 per bottle! It’s a pretty sweet deal for a nail polish addict — me!!! The staff… I never want to talk to them because they can be so pushy. Although I have no problem saying no, they are relentless! The trick is to tell them you already know what you want. I still browse the shop sometimes out of curiosity. The rest of the stuff are pretty pricey, so I don’t buy anything from them, except nail polish!

Lots of hard to find fragrances in stock. Prices are high, so if you’re patient and order from an internet vendor like Amazon, you’ll save a lot of money. Went here in September to track down a recently discontinued perfume. The staff were ingratiating, pestering, and simpering. The supervisor personally followed me around the store; if I paused for just a moment to look at something, she was at my elbow making comments. She insisted several times that I give her my phone number so she could call me regarding new arrivals. I had to give her a blunt«NO!» before she backed off. The poor gal at the cashier didn’t know enough English to answer when I asked why she needed my street address and email address to complete a simple purchase. The other gals on staff looked scared with forced smiles, as if they were being monitored by some unseen, angry boss. Couldn’t get out of this uncomfortable, creepy place fast enough. I’ll be ordering my perfume from the Intertubes from now on.

A small unsuspecting and somewhat hidden shop on Robson(close to Lulu and French Connection), Shifeon sells all the top of the line skin care products(Clarins, Demalogica, Decleor, Dr. Hauschka, Guerlain, Yonka, etc) hundreds of fragrances and high end French hair care lines that I didn’t even realize were available outside of France-this shop is pricey but if you spend money on your products then the $ 5& $ 10 coupons offered for every $ 50 keep you coming back again and again… It may not be the prettiest of shops– so no cute pink cupcakes or fruity smelling soaps or lotions or sparkles for that matter– but the products speak for themselves. The salespeople are helpful and seem to know what they are talking about and I also love all the samples:)
