I have visited Sauzzy thai twice now, and each time has been a fantastic experience. The sauce isn’t overly sweet or salty and remains surprisingly fresh. As previously mentioned as a negative, I find the simplified menu comforting and usually a sign of great quality. The price ranges from $ 8.50(vegetarian) to $ 10.50(shrimp) is a pretty standard food cart rate, pretty reasonable anywhere really. Location is also great, right outside the art gallery. Perfect for people watching and about 300 stairs for chairs. Finally, the service is amazing. It’s run by one Thai lady who is a true gem. She had stated that this would be the best Thai I ever had, and I can’t seem to prove her wrong.

I loved this woman’s pad thai, I lived in Thailand for a while and this reminds me exactly of the pad thai I would get from a little corner nook restaurant I would frequent in Phuket. Non ketchupy but still vinegary with actual tamarind and fish sauce. And the chillis, sugar, peanuts and lime as a condiment(usually in the middle of a restaurant table) is a fantastic touch. I didn’t catch her name but the owner is a hard working Thai little older lady. The only people who wouldn’t like this variation of pad thai have probably been eating at chinese owned Thai restaurants their whole lives and have never had a real taste. Check this truck out!

As good as it gets! The owner is personally preparing all the food and makes sure it is prepared to your taste if you ask for it. You can ask for extra lime, salt, spices or tamarind sauce. She just started her business a few months ago and I am sure she will be able to perfect the taste that most Vancouverites like most. I would definitely go back.

I’ve been to this truck about 3 times. It’s the pink truck parked at Robson between Hornby and Howe. They have basically one menu item as far as food goes — pad thai! Vegetarian, shrimp, or chicken, for about $ 10. The friendly truck owner is basically solo there most of the time, and is a Thai expat. Her pad thai sauce is on the salty side… I can only describe the appearance and taste as soy-dominant, as it doesn’t give off the scent of fish sauce or tamarind. It comes with garnishes of white sugar, red chili powder, ground peanut, and lime in the corner of the box for you to mix yourself; however it’s hard to separate all those out as it’s already in the dish. Overall it’s identifiable as pad thai, but is far from the best version I’ve tried. They also offer ice coffee which I haven’t tried.
