After many years with this optometrist I left angry and upset. My great experience with a new optometrist and optician confirm my experience was as bad as i thought(when it gets this bad you start to doubt yourself and reality). After cataract surgery my new progressives never worked properly, with no reading ability at all and the lens blurry at distance. They did not fix the problem after repeated visits about this. I am aware now that most optometrists stand by the lens and can make changes up to 3 times if they don’t work well. Instead they made it seem it was my fault. My recently new lens is perfect for reading, distance and intermediate. Service from the optician here is grudging and resentful with a «how dare you ask for service — I am in charge here and will decide what question you ask and when» attitude and it may not be today. The attitude and story changed everytime we spoke, first it was easy, then it was hard, then it was the fault of another optometry clinic. These are not bad people but something is very awry here. The charge after surgery for exams was full price, 85.00 — after 3 appt. s totalling over 200.00. At my new clinic the 2nd appt. will possibly be free or at most another 30.00. — The first appt. at my new clinic was 30.00 with the rest being billed to Medical. Enter at your own risk here — there are much better places. It’s sad and I am sorry to be saying this, I had an OK relationship for many years but as I say, something is very awry here.
