Really great dog park. However, it’s basically overrun by too many large dogs. Having a medium sized dog, it’s alright to bring him close to the larger dogs. But I can’t imagine having a smaller breed and wanting my smaller dog to socialize with the larger dogs. One time, another medium to large sized dog bite my dog’s nose! My dog is a super friendly cocker spaniel with his tail always wagging, who never has bite anyone and has never been aggressive to that other dog. All of a sudden after they greater each other, that guy snarled and bite my dog right away! So please be careful with larger dogs if you’ve got a smaller dog!

This is a usual spot for us but not much of a dog park, no fences, no benches, no water and lots of mud. The beauty of this park is hard to beat and nearly all the dogs and owners are great. Better park in summer and super muddy and cold in the winter.

The summer months here are awesome, most of the dogs and owners hang our the shade that the few trees provide. Most of the dog owners are respectful and keep a close eye on their dog, but occasionally I see aloof parents who have absolutely no right bringing their k-9 to the park… at least not till they can control their dog. During the winter the dog park has it’s moments of glory; however, you;ll need your rain boots or an old pair of shoes because mud will be everywhere… even on your dog! There used to be a huge mud puddle that dogs loved to roll around in(fun for then, pain in the A$$ for us), but the city has since filled it with sand. It’s gotten better but only time will tell if the mud hole re appears this year. Make sure to bring some water for your dog. If your dog is not well behaved, perhaps try bringing your dog and a non peak hour(mid-day, 12−3pm)
