I’ve never purchased anything from this particular location(I usually shop at their Richmond one), however, I’ve always had warm feelings for this store from the time I worked in the neighbourhood. I went in again this past week before heading to a show and I’ve found the salespeople are still as friendly as ever and their stock is always nice. They have some unusual shapes that may not be as attractive on larger forms(such as mine) and they don’t carry a lot of larger sizes. If you’re looking for a wine cardigan, it’s a perfect place to look.

I bought a pair of Yoga jeans at this location. Although the initial sales and service was fine, I found that after one wear the jeans were almost one size too big. I called the store and explained the situation to one of the staff who basically simply said«yes». There was no offer to help or rectify the situation. I then asked what could be done and she indicated that I could come into the store next Saturday and they may be able to exchange the jeans She did not seem in the slightest bit concerned that the product was not satisfactory or the customer was unhappy. She acted like I was just a nuisance. I will wait to see what happens next Saturday, but for now I am far from impressed and would not recommend this store.

Office working women should know about Plum. There are fewer of them around than say Jacob, so the chances of you sporting the same outfit as your colleagues will be greatly reduced by shopping here. When I went here to get some new work clothes I received excellent service from a motherly saleswoman. She had a good eye for what just fits and what actually compliments your figure. Honesty in a salesperson is hard to come by! I left with a couple great outfits for work that have made it through several washes looking just as good as the day I bought them. But if you don’t need office-appropriate clothing, you might find the styles here a bit conservative and uninspired.

Between this Plum location on Granville and the location on Fourth, most ladies will be able to find something flattering, a little conservative, and in their size. The layout of the store, with the door at 45 degrees to both Granville and West 12th, is a little less pretentious than some of the other South Granville spots. Staff members won’t follow you around as though you’re about to steal something worth $ 500 at any second like at neighboring store. I’ve always found the staff to be friendly without being pushy. Overall a positive shopping experience.

Sugarplum, fun! I like Plum for my workday clothes and I can usually find something basic and fairly fashionable to wear for cheap. Everything comes in the basics and the colours. I think the sweater-sets are one of those items that nobody wants to admit they have or like, but everyone has one and sometimes it comes in handy. I believe their Tobias line has the suits and all the suit-skirts and long coats and matching pants. During the holidays, they also have fantastic black dresses. The cashmere blend camis, cardis and sweaters are also a must-have.
