Performance Vision Optometry

I went looking for this place after reading the reviews and after a half hour or so of walking the blocks around where it’s supposed to be, I concluded that it is no longer in existence (May, 2016).
So this is less of a review than it is just a note to not bother with this business because it seemingly no longer exists.
The one star is for the owners for either not reporting their move/​dissolution, or for purposely camouflaging their store so as to hide it from passers by.

In 20 years of seeing different optometrists and going to various eye clinics, Performance Vision is definitely the best. I even signed up for Unilocal just so I could write this review. Alf understands what customer service is all about — he will go above and beyond to make sure I have the right contacts and really do anything to ensure I have the best experience possible. Great staff and my vision has never been so clear. Highly, highly recommended!!!

I have been going to Performance Vision Optometry for about 5.5 years now. Dr. Graham Foster is the best! I would definitely recommend making your appointment with him. He gives great advice and makes the whole experience enjoyable.

The Optometrist was good during my eye exam and the Optician was helpful when selecting my glasses, but it’s been two weeks and my glasses still aren’t ready. The estimated 6 days, it’s been over two weeks. I wouldn’t recommend using this company’s services… they aren’t in the ball whatsoever.

Went into this place for second time after checking out some other places and am glad I went in. The prices here seem pretty good and I’m totally satisfied with the glasses that I got, they were better than what I could have gotten at lens crafters despite the fact I would have had to pay more. My first experience wasn’t that great but at least it was informative. I spoke to the same guy that I did the last time and found my first impression was a bit off. He actually provided really good service that I was totally satisfied with. My second experience was a bit short as well but that’s certainly good thing. I already had the prescription so just needed to chose frames for which there is a good selection and prices that were better than the other stores that I had visited.

My experience here continues to be nothing but the best, Graham F. seems to go the extra mile with education, service and ease, my eye examine was explained in such detail that it really helped me understand the contrition of my eyes. They made suggestions and provided my prescription in hand to take away without asking for it.
I checked competitors rates before booking my examine and found these guys more than 20% less with without any compromise.

Having worn glasses since i was 3 yrs old, I’ve seen my share of eye docs. Graham is the best! not only does he stay well up on his education, he’s constantly making suggestions that add value. even identified early onset glaucoma in my spouse — (also a patient) which helped her manage it with medication. Graham offers excellent quality frames (you’re not getting clealry contacts crap here) and excellent after care.
I highly recommend this shop.

Unfriendly optician who seems like a grump. Not a favorable shopping experience. I’m headed elsewhere.

Frankly, going to see ANY doctor has never been a joy for ANYONE. Yes, that includes an eye doctor.
Dr. Foster makes a visit to his office so comfortable, you almost look forward to the next appointment! I said «almost». His staff in the front of the shop might not be as welcoming, but you don’t really have to deal with them if you’re just there for a check-​up. The office is fully equipped with gadgets and machines of all shapes and sizes, which is nice if you want a more thorough check-​up!
I bought a pair of glasses from there. So far so good, I guess. The prescription was accurate, and the frame was pretty, albeit expensive. I might or might not have been suckered into that one; again, the staff in the front of the shop are not my favourite.
Anyhow, Dr. Foster still comes highly recommended by me! He will answer all your questions and explain anything you ask. I, for one, am full of questions each time I visit a doctor. Dr. Foster has always been patient, friendly and just super at keeping me happily informed every time!

twice i left messages regarding getting my eyes tested, twice my messages were never returned … the cost to have my eyes tested was 20 dollars more than a place on davie street … may be a good eye doctor, i don’t know, but 20 dollars more and staff that could not be bothered to return messages, i have taken my business elsewhere …

I’m relieved to have found such an informed and helpful optometrist. Dr. Graham Foster took a great amount of time educating me about my eyes and contact lenses. This was the most thorough visit to the optometrist I’ve ever experienced. The office also price matches the most competitive online retailers of contact lenses. Overall, a very happy choice.
