Wow oh wow! I never would have known about this place had I not taken a workshop here recently. Nineteen Ten was named by owners Jenn and Amy for the year in which Coco Chanel opened her first store in Paris. Serendipitously, 1910 was also the same year in which Main Street(on which the store is located) was first established. I just loved that tidbit. The store is beautiful, I love the space. They specialize in rustic and neutral home furnishings, décor and accessories. They also have a great selection of stationery, including cute prints and cards for all sorts of special occasions(weddings, babies, birthdays, retirement). They sell some beautiful light fixtures, I’d kill to have in my own home! I would say prices for most items are on the higher side, but honestly anyone who receives a item from this store as a gift should be so lucky! I felt like every item in this store was curated with a lot of thought and purpose. I wanted to buy everything. This store is a must-visit when strolling on Main Street whether you’re shopping for yourself, a friend, or just in the mood to browse.

This place has a lot of small knick knacks and home décor that leans more toward the hipster feel including some greeting cards and mason jar inspired items. I spent a decent time browsing. This actually isn’t my first time in this place as they’ve been around for 2 years, however, they had something that I saw in the window that I was interested in and wanted to browse for other inspiration

This is a fantastic store with a beautifully curated eye. The store is open, with white walls and dark wood bookcases and tables. All of the items have been wonderfully curated items from a good number of different sellers and makers. From candles, cards, to vases. This is definitely one of my favorite stores in Vancouver. If you are looking for a gift for a family member, a friend or yourself, then this is one of the first places that you should go to, to find a unique item with a modern feel. The woman that was working at the counter was incredibly friendly and approachable, the prices were reasonable, and the selection was fantastic. It was as if someone made a giant Etsy Treasury, and threw in a good number of the best things.

What a great little store! Lots of fun stuff, and you never know what you might find. It’s the perfect store to browse for a gift for someone when you’re not quite sure what to get them. They have cute wooden toys and fabric rattles, etc. for babies(and we got a great, fold-up cardboard house on sale there, too), and intriguing purchases for adults, too. We got a good living room rug there — needed something simple and not outrageously expensive, for life with a kid. Their lights are beautiful; I just wandered in last weekend and now am obsessing about a hammered iron /brass hanging lamp that I saw. Also, their candles are a great gift — half the price of candles at Much & Little and made in BC, to boot. Their holiday ornaments are also nice — tasteful but still a bit quirky. They also have nice letterpress cards. Nineteen Ten and Walrus are my two go-to stores in Vancouver when I want to browse or look for a fun gift. Both stores are great. Nineteen Ten has more home furnishings, though — so more temptation for me!

Pleasantly surprised when I saw this place had opened up right within spitting distance of my apartment. They have tons of unique home décor items and gifts that are reasonably priced. Rugs, Eames replica chairs, wooden bar stools, lighting, cards, plates and cups, cute little boxes and the cutest accent pillows… I really want one of those pillows! I only wish they had moved in 6 months ago when I was furnishing my apartment from scratch.

While sauntering along Main Street this weekend I came upon this little gem. Nineteen Ten is a boutique filled with many unique and interesting items for the home. These include, but are not limited to, cards, rugs, workshop cage lights, wooden stools, cardboard house kits, prints and cushions from local designers, welcome signs, and various other useful and beautiful items. So the next time I am desperate for a gift for the person that has almost everything I think I will head back here. Plus they carry a small assortment of Christmas ornaments(my kryptonite) that I can ogle.

Nineteen ten just opened where Legends used to be. It’s a very cute space, the size of Much and Little but more like Old Faithful with its rustic brushed metal dining chairs and lighting fixtures. The lights are definitely the main focus, right now anyhow, and they are gorgeously unique, not over the top expensive. The service is quietly friendly and thoughtful. My favourite item was a bird smoke alarm in a wooden frame that would look great on any book or kitchen shelf for 80 dollars. It is definitely a welcome addition to the reiley park area with its gaudy antique shops and stupid expensive«Scandinavian» one(you want how much for that uncomfortable old chair?). They are currently having 10% off first purchase sale, so hurry on over!(13 of 30))
