Terrible experience. I came in looking for kitchen appliances and the sales guy was argumentative and followed me around grilling me, even though I made it very clear that I didn’t want help. To explain how irritating the experience was, here is how the convo went down: I said I was just looking, trying to see which brands and colours I liked, he then in a snarky voice said«it’s stainless steel». Well in fact there are many tones of steel, from blue based to yellow based, and there are also different finishes from very shiny fingerprinty to a duller steel finish. Then I say I don’t have my measurements with me for my appliances and he tells me that the cabinets are built around whatever you tell them you want, again in a «your an idiot» voice. Well thanks, duh, no sh*t. I tell him I know, and my cabinets are built already but I am just getting a feel for what I like and what the various brands offer. Then he says«oh it’s pretty hard to look when you don’t have your measurements». As I said, I AMLOOKING, I’m not going to buy something without measurements. GOAWAY. I asked about a Bosch dishwasher and then he pointed to it, and stood right there as I am trying to look at the Bosch offerings. No one wants someone standing over them. Then to divert the awkwardness of him just standing there, I say I want a fridge with a bottom freezer drawer because I hate having to bend to get into the fridge. He then goes on about how most bottom freezers have a bottom door, not drawers, and will this be ok because I just said I wanted a drawer. Well yes, that’s fine, I just told you I just don’t like the bending so drawer or door makes no difference if it’s on the bottom. I was so annoyed at his approach and his general delivery of speaking to me I then told him he was pushy and I would like to look on my own now. He walked away. A few minutes later, I had to walk out, even though they had some beautiful stuff and I would have definitely bought all of my high end appliances here if he hadn’t ran me out of the place! Ugh. Next.

I’ve use Midland to purchase washer & dryer for a rental we have… and asked them for a reference for appliance repair which turned out to be very good as well

We purchased 4 appliances from Sandy at Midland, including a Miele dishwasher. Upon moving in, I noticed the dishawsher was not the one we ordered and called Sandy immediately(late May). She admitted it was her mistake and she assured us there was a replacement coming. Weeks went by without hearing from her, I kept calling to check in. A month later, she said the racks would be switched out and had an installer come to create the dishwasher we ordered by adding and taking out various pieces. The end result was a dishwasher with 2 missing pieces, and a rack that didn’t fit it properly. I called Midland again to remedy the situation(this time speaking with their Sales Managers, Rob and Roger) and suggested that perhaps they just replace our dishwasher with the one we originally ordered. They called the Miele rep to come and take a look. Another month went by, before they finally came by again — to replace the rack(not the dishwasher). Ten(10!) weeks since I initially called/emailed about them sending the wrong appliance. They were very nice about it all, kept apologizing and making various excuses, but the bottom line is that it took 10 weeks(and 20+ phone calls/emails). The«compensation» they promised me(for not replacing our dishwasher and the countless hours I spent emailing/calling) consisted of some dishwasher tabs and laundry soap which was a nice gesture, but felt very much like«too little, too late». Seems with Midland — they are great with pre-sale service, but, for me, the after-sale service sucked!

Fantastic service. I had a major problem with an appliance and they bent over backwards to make sure I was happy. Really nice staff.
