Highly recommend Melivlle Café/Catering as a healthy alternative. It’s the best place for breakfast and lunch in downtown Vancouver! They serve scrumptious breakfast wraps, hot and tasty soups, fresh salads, and various types of sandwiches, all homemade from scratch with love.

Wow. Life is fully of surprises. This place was recommended to me by co-workers, who probably found it randomly. I went in for a sandwich, and it was amazing. Sourdough bread, roast beef(but like… REAL roast beef), and cheese + veggies. All melted on a grill to a delicious combination… Love it. I have a feeling I will be going back again, and again, and again!!!

This little café has THE best soup and sandwiches. Everything is so tasty and fresh. It’s a small little place run by a sweet couple and the food has a ‘home cooked’ feel to it. It’s not food court food, but like mom’s cooking. Definitely try this place and the creamy chicken soup or the Tuscan soup! Mmmm!

I decided to try out this little place yesterday since I live in the neighbourhood, and it’s on my way home. The sandwiches all looked completely reasonable and well priced. I tried the daily special of chicken curry and it was ok although nothing too special. A good place to grab a quick bite during lunch hour. As a quick addendum, Unilocal needs to change the categorization of Melville Market because it is a food shop and not a department store.

This place has pretty awesome soup! Comes with 2 pieces of crispy toast(that is a little slice of awesome in itself)!
