I am all for stores that advertise that they are made in Canada, local pride, especially in a rather tourist driven district. Very high quality leather goods in different styles that will suite anybody and that you can transform to make your own with a little imagination. This is one of the leather must do’s or must get’s in the city.

I’ve died and gone to leather heaven. You walk in and you’re greeted by the wonderful smell of leather! This place is amazing. I love leather bags and this place offers amazing quality Italian made leather. The also have great coats and another stuff but I come for the purses. Yes, pricey but you get what you pay for.

Beautiful pieces in this store. I wanted to buy one of everything. Everything they have in here are items that will last a lifetime with proper loving care. I just loved touching everything. The leather was supple and luxurious. I bought one of their cross body style bags and I haven’t looked back since. I’m ready to run back and pick up all their accessories. Their prices are more reasonable than you think and everything is made in Canada. Make sure you treat yourself. I always do!

Beautiful store in Gastown. There is also a store on Alberni right by Italian Kitchen.
I never thought to go in here until my hubby spotted a woman with a bag from here and asked me where it was from. I knew the answer because I remember reading Robin’s review of this store. :)
Back to the store. I found the service to be attentive but not too pushy. I think it really depends on who is working and how it is received by the potential customers.
I went in just to check the bag out and the sales associate wasn’t too pushy but did tell me that the bag was made in Montréal and that the store was Canadian. I think it is a big selling point. I do like buying local and especially a Canadian made products and these bags were gorgeous to boot.
They aren’t cheap however, the quality on these bags are outstanding and loved the feel and the smell of the leather. And they look like they will last a long time. A sales associate told me that they don’t varnish the leather so the leather will get darker and softer as they age.
If you are a PETA member, you definitely would not appreciate it and I would suggest you DO not go into this store.
I haven’t bought anything there yet but my birthday is coming up so I am really hoping I will get their Vachetta bag. I will find out in couple weeks whether I get it so wish me luck and cross my fingers.

I can’t even handle this place. This gorgeous homage to my some of my favourite leather goods is also a statement of the neighbourhood it’s in: high ceilings, one long table running down the middle, hipper-​than-​thou (but oh-​so friendly) staff — this is m0851 in Gastown. This is where it should be in Vancouver.
A sucker for leather wares — especially those of the clutch and bag variety, I’ve been known to shop at m0851 for years (exhibit A:
). Their high-​quality products are made of a buttery leather that I’d cuddle with in my sleep if not for the inevitable drool that would stain the pretty stuffs. But make no mistake, these are goods that only get better with age: years later, my oldest product (a beautifully sleek long black wallet) has worn to show its creases, it’s character. Durability, it would seem, is inherent to their design process.
What’s better than that? Made in Canada, these goods are not only stunning to look at and stylish to wear, but are locally made and practical to buy.
I’m so happy this store is here. Because it’s investment, right?
