2 stars due to the fact it’s real pricy for a taqueria and the food is just ok, had breakfast tacos, they were soggy due to the fact there was too many mushrooms in them bland flavour. Service was ok. If you want to charge these prices service and food needs to improve.

So I normally go to Sal y Limon across the street because that place is just bomb. But lets move on to Los Cuervos Taqueria. The first thing you will notice is that this place is smaller. However, smaller doesn’t mean that its not a good place to get some tacos. on the contrary. this place has some of the best tacos I have had in Vancouver. I would say I would rather eat at this joint than Tacofino and lots of people love Tacofino. They have a lot of different tacos with a fusion of flavors. It isn’t your typical authentic mexican tacos like Sal y Limon. This place has tacos that will blow your taste buds up. I had a few different ones, with the favorite probably being either the tuna or the fried shrimp. Not only do they taste amazing, they are a pretty good portion as well. Instead of giving just 1 piece of fish or 1 shrimp, its actually stacked with a couple pieces that fills out the taco. If you are looking for a place for some amazing tacos then you would definitely want to come here. The prices are higher than Sal y Limon by almost double which actually withheld me from giving it five stars but damn they are good. I recommend this place highly because I am going to come back REAL soon. Service 5⁄5 Ambiance 4⁄5 Food 5⁄5 Value 4⁄5

Food good. Service good. Music is tolerable. When I go I eat and then go spend my money drinking where the music is great and keeps my friends and I there all night.

I really enjoy this place. I’ve heard its really packed on weekends but the few time I’ve gone have been during the week and it was busy but not overly crowded. They know how to do tacos. so many delicious options to choose from and in true mexican style they are slim small corn tacos(not the fajitas that people in north american expect when they think mexican food.) I have had beer and Margaritas there and both were great. The staff that has served us both times are always cool and really easy going which ads to the laid back feel of a place thats cool without trying to hard.

I don’t know if it was because I was starving, or am a huge fan of tacos, but I think those were the best I’ve ever had! I’m going to try to be a little modest in my review though, since I only had tummy space for three tacos, but I’ll definitely be back. The ambiance was also a great fit. I’d be very happy if someone took me on a date here. ;)

While the prices are a little high for what I think of with this type of food(the tacos run individually $ 4-$ 4.5, so plan on about $ 16 – 20 per person if you really want to fill up), but the quality more than makes up for it. If you’re looking for Vancouver’s best tacos, here they are. Not only tasty, but inventive and unique. Try some of their sauces: best for heat lovers, but if you’re a chili fiend like me, well worth a sample. This place can get very crowded, especially on Fridays and Saturdays, so go early if you can. We generally stop by right around opening time and are gone before the dinner crowd hits.

Maybe I’m just terrible at choosing my own tacos but every time I’ve hated all of them. I find theres just no flavour and with Mexican food I expect my food to be loaded with flavour! I also made the mistake of ordering a margarita last time and i know they’re supposed to have a salt rim there for be a little salty but it honestly tasted like someone poured salt in my drink(tasted like sea water) I thought maybe third time would be the charm for this place but unfortunately not. Will not be back.

The service was great, the menu was limited; I had a michelada preparada, a quesadilla and 3 breakfast tacos. The michelada wasn’t that good, the quesadilla was very flavorful, and finally to describe the breakfast tacos I would say they were god awful, way too many mushrooms, tasteless and bland, an experiment gone wrong. To settle my opinion on this place I would have to come back and try their different tacos.

Walked in at 9pm. On the door it days they’re open till 11pm. As we walked through the door a server/hostess said that they already did last call. A bit confusing that they would do last call 2 hours before closing time. I mean I get it, its a slow Monday after Halloween, but the hours are clearly posted on the door and Unilocal also tells me that you’re still open. Guess I won’t be back late evenings as I’m not sure if they’ll be open.

I love this place. The food is great, my favorites are the Camaron — love the different textures you get in this taco, the Choriqueso — chorizo + cheese, what’s there not to love, and the Hongos — I am a meat eater but this mushroom taco was delicious. They are all good and you must try them all. I love sitting at the bar by the kitchen and watching the chefs do their thing. I love hot sauce and theirs are delicious. Love Love Love!!! Yum! Can’t wait to go back! Oh. Almost forgot the Churros. The goat milk caramel sauce is addictive!!!

I am for sure giving this a 5 star review. Never have I been to a taqueria that was as delicious as this. I am pretty sure that we ate more tacos that anyone knows what to do with! The service was on point, and the ingredients were fab! The duck and sweet potato flautas were definitely two thumbs up. Skirt steak taco was really tasty. The quesadilla was hot and melty like a quesadilla should be. I can’t remember the other tacos we had, but it was lots. The server just kept them coming! For dessert, of course the churros! Chocolate sauce, caramel sauce, and homemade cinnamon and sugar churros. Great way to end the meal. I want to go here again. I will when I“m back in town!

I’ve been twice, which is why the place gets three stars instead of one. The first time was great. Tacos were delicious, good beer selection, and quick service. Highly recommended. I was planning on making my way thought the whole menu over time. Which is why I went back… This morning was another matter. The staff were completely absent. It took 20 minutes to place our order, and then another 20 minutes to get our bill afterwards. Entire stay was well over an hour. They only had five tables occupied but between two servers were totally incapable of checking on anyone. The food we ordered(brunch menu) was average. Nothing special, which was disappointing to my Mexican friend who is pretty protective of her favourite national food. I’ll go back again(still a lot of menu to get through) but I hope the service picks up.

This restaurant has a cool atmosphere and friendly staff, interesting setup as it has two sides that appear to mirror one another perhaps? We chose the lighter side and had dinner and drinks at the bar on a Friday night, which didn’t seem that busy. Overall the food here is okay, not spectacular. Definitely appreciate the quality of product that is put into each taco, definitely some unique flavours and combinations that I have not seen before however similar to other reviewers of this resturant $ 4 and up for a single taco is just WAYYYTOOMUCH. Next time around I will try Sal Y and see what they offer down the street.

I’ve got to give this place a resounding«meh.» Not super impressed my any part of the place. Actually, I take that back– the bathrooms were lovely. The service kind of blew. The food wasn’t awful. But I wouldn’t recommend to a friend. It was okay. I’m just left so impressionless that I don’t have a lots more to say about it. Vancouver is such a foodie city, that you’ve got to do really hustle to keep up. I don’t like to give bad reviews, so I’ll just give this three edible tacos out of five. Someone’s working hard to run this place, I really hope they find their groove. Given the location, and fare, it’s got mad potential.

Pretty good for a bunch of gringo-looking cooks! :) There are some nice flavors, and fantastic salsas. Nice relaxed atmosphere, no fighting to get a table for brunch service. We plan to return and explore the menu more.

I heard about this place as it was mentioned by Jason S. in a recent talk thread on March 10th and have book marked it ever since. Their tacos are $ 4 each which is the most I’ve ever had to pay for a single taco to date. I came here for a private event with some people from various meet up groups that I am a part of as well as some Unilocal elite members who are my close friends for this awesome get together. Firstly the Tacos are way over priced for what they are at $ 4 each. They give the illusion that it is big by giving you a bigger tortilla with small portions in the middle. Meat inside was good, however, not as well marinated with flavor compared to other Mexican Eateries. Honestly it’s best to go one block down to Sal Y. The experience was great, customer service was fantastic, turn around was fast, however, the tacos are severely over-rated, especially for the price point.

Looooooooove these tacos! The flauta! I want to slap someone! My only complaint would be that I can’t eat these tacos and drink these margaritas 24 – 7. Happy hour gets you 2 tacos and 1 beer for $ 10 Or margarita for $ 11. I’m moving in.

These were the BEST tacos I and my girlfriend had ever had! Maybe we were just really craving Tacos, or maybe this was an accurate assessment. Either way, these were great! We had an assortment of tacos, of note were the Bison and Brisket tacos which were excellent! As someone with Celiac disease, the waitress was very helpful with guiding me towards the gluten free options on the menu. The salsas were also a highlight! Great place

Heard about this place and decided to give it a try. The tacos are pretty big but at $ 4 not a great deal. Flavors are ok but nothing fabulous. The quesadillas are the best. They are $ 5 for 3 small pieces but very tasty. Maybe the best quesadilla I’ve ever had. The rolled tacos are average-again like most Mexican restaurants. We had a total of 3 tacos, shared the rolled tacos dish, and 2 quesadillas and one margarita. The bill was $ 37. Portions are small. I’m use to really fresh Ingredients with Mexican food. There was hardly any tomatoes, salsa or lime in any of the dishes. Not cheap but take credit card. Sal y limon is better and seems more authentic.

Definitely delicious but far from authentic. hold out for Sal y Limon or even La Taqueria This is, unfortunately, the only good sit-down taco place that also have a full bar.
