On our first night in Vancouver, we dined at the Legendary Noodle and it was the perfect welcome to the city. Small space but we came in a group of 6 and there was plenty of room. The service was good, and it was really enjoyable for the kids to watch the chef make the noodles. We ordered noodles with chicken in creamy peanut sauce, tofu egg, cold noodles with prawns and pork dumplings. Nobody could pick their favorite dish! It was the perfect amount of food. Would defiantly go there again!

Northern Chinese hand-made noodle shop run by a cute friendly family. Just a side note, this place is next to what is most likely a rub and tug place disguised as a salon. Anyhow, we started with stir fried pea shoots with garlic(fast and tasty). Followed by dan dan noodles done in a unique almost soup like way with an ample base of peanut sauce. I asked for medium spice, but they gave me caucasian level. Oh well, I loaded up on the chili sauce. Finished off with some XLB’s which were definitely freshly made, but they messed up on the meat: soup ratio with little soup. The meat was tasty but I need the soup! Service is cheery and thankful.

Great food but extremely bad service. First thing I see when I entered the store was the chef sleeping in one of the booths, laying down, with an empty bowl and dirty tables everywhere. I was already hesitating to sit down at a table already. I felt disgusted that the waitress was giving me and my friend attitude. It was terrible. She gave us the smirks, and the«okay okay» nods. She knows English perfectly well too, and I am just so wondering how she couldn’t understand anything. We spoke Mandarin and Cantonese and she just gave us the«nod nod». We asked her questions first before she left and put the order in if it was the way we thought it was, she just responded with nods and«uhh uhh». Later on the other tables has already received their foods before us, and we were the first to order, our food came. My friend ordered a Beef Noodle and then I ordered a Cut Piece Noodle Yam Soup. My order came with bean noodles… I specifically asked them if it was Cut Piece Noodle, instead she wrote down Bean Noodle… Of course I called them back to change my order… I told her to bring it on a separate plate, so I can just add it into my bowl. I am not going to risk the chef doing something bad to my bowl. The kitchen was wide open but you can see where they boil the noodles in only 1 large pot. Anyways, the noodles finally came, I put it in and it was great. The bowl was so flavorful, but you can taste the salt and the MSG added into the bowl. It was a fresh bowl of Lamb broth, and the noodles were made in the perfect texture. I would not go back to THIS branch because there is one also on Davie Street as well. That one is much better in service.

This place looks like a hole in the wall but once you go inside you realize its actually quite nice and cute. WARNING: they only take cash so don’t come without! Otherwise, there is plenty to eat and while you are waiting for your delicious noodles you can watch them make them on the spot through a huge window. The thing I liked most about this place is they clearly label which items are vegetarian friendly and there were quite a few options. I got the peanut flat noodles(you can choose which shape you want) and my friend got the garlic spice noodles. They were both super yum and they were even better to share. If you are walking along Main st. around King Edward, do not pass this place up. Best part? My friend and I got delicously stuffed for less then $ 20.00 pretty amazing for Van if I do say so myself.

Great tasting noodles and good prices too. Handmade right onsite. This location existed before the Denman location and I believe it is the same family that runs them both. There are a selection of noodle, my favourite is the cut noodles. The peashoot dish and dumpling are nice. The décor isn’t anything to write about but the service is good. They have pan fried noodles but I find that it’s oily for my liking. It’s two doors from another favourite of mine Hawkers Delight.
